* BrokenBase: Some fans of the franchise weren't pleased with the shorter length this series had compared to the original, and some of the Shinkalion redesigns were criticized due to how little they resembled the non-Z models. That being said though, while the parts-forming nature was the source of contempt for many, the toy line was overwhelmingly praised for the increase in stability and articulation compared to the past line.
