* BrokenAesop: The lesson of most of the movie is that you shouldn't force your concepts of fun on others. However, in the final act of the film, after Flappy Bob finds out the Pixies had been lying to him, he decides that Timmy's ideas of fun were superior all along and immediately abandons his ideals of "safe fun". It's somewhat justified because "safe fun" isn't what Flappy Bob ''naturally'' considers fun; he's been brainwashed by the Pixies, and constantly slips into his clownish nature. Happy Peppy Gary and Betty are more straightforward examples, whose feelings are completely disregarded when the kids overrun the Learnatorium at the end and Timmy wishes to "fix" all the fun. It's a great ending for everyone... except Gary and Betty, who actually believe in the ideals of "safe fun". ''They'' didn't force anyone to come to the Learnatorium, but they're still treated as wrong for offering the service at all.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSong: While "Kids Just Being Kids" is still a great song, any hardcore fan of ''Franchise/{{Digimon}}'' can tell you how much it reminds them of "Butterfly".

* TheWoobie: Flappy Bob. Poor guy. He was separated from his parents, used and manipulated by the Pixies and lost sight of his roots and true calling all as part of an evil plot on the part of the Pixies. This is one clown who needs a hug and really [[EarnYourHappyEnding earned that happy ending]].

Not approved by the Magnificent Bastard cleanup thread.

* MagnificentBastard: The Pixies, who actually set up a 37-year plan that manages to ''perfectly'' fall into place.

* MoralEventHorizon: Given how badly it affected Flappy, the Pixie's 37-year plan could qualify as this for them.

Not YMMV

* JerkassHasAPoint: As boring and overly-sanitized as the Learnatorium is, its staff were completely right about Dimmsdale's kids being out of control and needing reining in.

* WellIntentionedExtremist: The Learnatorium staff, particularly Happy Peppy Gary and Betty. Sure, they want to suck all the fun out of everything, but it's out of ''genuine'' concern for the kids' wellbeing; they just want them to be safe and under control. Of course, it's implied that the Pixies deliberately cultivated the "extremist" part so that Timmy would rebel against it, setting up the final stage of their LongGame.
