*** SystemOfADown's "Chop Suey" is listed as the second hardest song in the game on vocals, but the song's inflections really aren't at all complex. The only thing that might make it difficult is the speed at which the singer sings some of the parts, but that difficulty can easily be overcome by mumbling (which the game does not penalize you for), and once you get past their speed, they really aren't difficult to sing.

* TheyJustDidntCare: [[AvertedTrope Hahahaha, no.]] They do care ([[FaithNoMore A lot]], [[DoingItForTheArt actually]]). Case in point: one of the ways they're dealing with the 1000+ songs some people have in their collection for ''Rock Band 3'' is the addition of filters. The other way? Saving usermade setlists - [[http://www.rockband.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1226760&postcount=11 something that has been asked for since 2008!]]

Added DiffLines:

** ''Rock Band 4'' definitely gives off this impression in some ways, though. No practice mode, no online available from the start, a weak setlist, an even weaker career mode and even the character animations have gotten lazy. Seeing the drummer look like he's drumming along to a soft pop song when they're playing something Music/IronMaiden is pretty lame.

*** Rock Band 4 has also been getting a lot of flack for the amount of pop songs that have been made available. To say fans were upset that Music/OneDirection and Music/JustinBieber now have more tracks available than, say, Music/{{Motorhead}} would be a ''massive'' understaitment.

** ''Rock Band 4'' was supposed to be a return-to-form for the series by going to focusing primarily on rock. This is true for the base game, but then the DLC adds ''Music/JustinBieber'' and ''Music/OneDirection''. You have three guesses as to how the fandom reacted, and the first two don't count.

Made somewhat worse on March 7, when a ''Music/OneDirection'' back was released with 4 of their songs.

* ArchivePanic: Just getting into the game? If you buy the trilogy and export everything into ''Rock Band 3'', you already have over 200 songs. Then there's the DLC and track packs.

** ''Rock Band 4'' has over 1,700 legacy DLC tracks available, with previous exports to be made available at later dates. Those who bought tracks in the previous generation can export most of their songs for free... provided they stay within the same console family (i.e. [=PS4=] from [=PS3=] and Xbox One from Xbox 360).

* ToughActToFollow: Probably the likeliest reason why ''GreenDay: RockBand'' was met with a relatively lukewarm reception compared to ''Music/TheBeatles: RockBand'', a lovingly crafted tribute to one of the most widely beloved groups in the history of popular music.

** To some extent, ''Rock Band 4'' compared to ''Rock Band 3''. ''Rock Band 3'' greatly expanded the scope of the franchise, while ''Rock Band 4'' seems to be viewed as a regression, eliminating a good chunk of what [=RB3=] introduced. Because of [=RB4=]'s ContestedSequel status, the game seems more geared towards those who invested heavily in ''Rock Band'' during the previous generation rather than franchise newcomers.

* DethroningMoment: Including Justin Beiber and One Direction as DLC at the end of 2015. Many fans had already noted that the "Rock" in the title was becoming more and more of a lie, but this probably sealed it for them. Whether you're a fan of either artist or not, you can't deny that neither of them even come close to being considered rock.
