** The Texas government has been portrayed as an antagonist throughout Season 2, but their actions are completely justified in every case: the Monroe Republic has been hostile toward them in the past, so Miles and Bass are high priority targets (and very unlikely to be believed). The Patriots [[spoiler: until the mustard gas deployment in "Tomorrowland"]] have given Texas no firm reason to distrust them, and [[spoiler: via the FalseFlagOperation have even cleared out some troublesome groups of raiders]]. And [[spoiler: Miles, Bass, and Charlie were all present at the attempted assassination]].

* CompleteMonster: Strausser. He is confirmed to be TheSociopath and was in a padded room when the militia recruited him. He gives off creepy vibes like perfume and gives fatherly speeches to stable boys about slicing open people and animals with a knife. He tortures Rachel, saying "I apologize in advance," making him FauxAffablyEvil. Everyone, including {{Badass}} Miles is scared of this guy. [[spoiler: There's an implication in episode 10 that he raped Rachel as part of torturing her. Indeed, he tries to rape her at the first opportunity. He also threatened to rape Charlie to Rachel's face. When Rachel kills him off with a sharp instrument, he dies and makes sounds like he has an orgasm]]. Even by militia standards, this guy is depraved and monstrous!
** Strausser probably did [[spoiler:rape Rachel at some point. She's uncomfortable with men getting too close, as evidenced by her telling Miles to "back off" in Episode 11.]] Rachel did the world a huge favor!
