** Claire is moving into this territory as well, considering the amount of positive feedback Jeph has received so far for her.
** From intro to amazing powers, but for finally giving Corpse Witch hell, Spookybot is slowly edging into this territory. Within a couple weeks of their first appearance, they already had a larger entry on the character sheet page than characters who have been around for years.

Added DiffLines:

** Spookybot. Some people on this very page consider them to be an EnsembleDarkhorse, while for others, their introduction and use to resolve Bubbles' plot is the worst kind of DeusExMachina and TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot.

* CatharsisFactor: [[http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3413 Corspewitch's punishment]] is clearly shooting for a feeling of this, with that dastardly Corpsewitch finally getting her comeuppance. It falls flat to those that feel like the build-up and Corpsewitch's sudden reveal of CartoonishSupervillainy was too sudden making the attempt for catharsis feel unearned.

** When Faye [[spoiler: is fired by Corpsewitch, she assumes Bubbles will leave with her]]. The fact she does not is presented as an EtTuBrute moment, and while it's easy to forgive Faye for losing herself to emotions at the time, the next few strips basically say the only reasons she wouldn't go is that she's not actually Faye's friend or she's hiding a shady past. Nothing about the fact that [[spoiler: she'd be losing her source of income, her home, or the fact that she wouldn't do this over May, a {{jerkass}} she has no affection for and basically only knows as a freeloader]].

In fact, later strips have Bubbles explicitly confirm that this is the case leaving many readers scratching their heads.

Added DiffLines:

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Corpsewitch. She's introduced as a {{jerkass}} running an illegal operation and while she's certainly not nice, part of the reason she was compelling is that everything that she did or said was grounded in some kind of reasoning, often being PragmaticVillainy or even InformedWrongness. Then suddenly all nuance goes out the window and she essentially becomes an out-and-out supervillain who is motivated pretty much by her own evilness.

Added DiffLines:

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Some fans feel this about the [[spoiler:Bubbles and Corpse Witch]] saga. A chance to explore the problems of [[ShellShockedVeteran PTSD]] and misunderstandings between humans and AIs post-Singularity (not to mention [[spoiler: Faye's hotheadedness once again causing her trouble]]) are tossed away with [[spoiler:an almost literal DeusExMachina character popping up out of nowhere to fix Bubbles' memory problem and the revelation that Corpse Witch is straight-up two-dimensionally evil.]]

*** This seems more anti-war than it does anti-military. The revelations we've had so far about Bubbles' time in the service seem more about the horrors of war in general than any specific political commentary.
