* DancingBear: Debates about the quality of the game aside, it's hard to deny that it being one of the ''very'' few [=RPGs=] on the ''UsefulNotes/Nintendo64'' is at least a major contributor to why it's so well known.

Approved by the thread.

Added DiffLines:

* MagnificentBitch: [[spoiler:[[EvilMentor Shannon Stork]], seemingly an AloofAlly to hero Brian, is really the cunning [[ArtificialHuman creation]] of the true villain, [[GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere Mammon]]. To release her master, Shannon orchestrates Brain's quest through Celtland, defeating his father to ensure Mammon's freedom and after Mammon's defeat, leaves to roam the world and [[HumanityIsInfectious learn about emotion out of respect for humans]]]].

Per TRS, this is YMMV

Added DiffLines:

* CameraScrew:
** Because the game requires you to aim your attacks, the camera sometimes is put at a bad angle.
** If you win a battle, the camera angle turns back to where Brian was originally facing. If you run away, the camera angle doesn't change. This makes it easy to get lost if you can't gain your bearings after running away.

* ThatOneLevel: A combination of CameraScrew, lack of a map, and a lack of obvious features or landmarks makes every dungeon in the game one of these. But the ones that particularly stand out Cull Hazard and Blue Cave.

** Particularly standing out is
the ones Blue Cave, the worst and longest dungeon in the game. There's no save points, the enemies hit hard, and there is no shortcuts. You can get a lot of spirits in the cave, except for the fact that particularly stand out Cull Hazard they're in very hard to find spots, and Blue Cave.the enemy appearance rate is off the chart here. Did I mention there's no save points?

* CriticalBacklash: A given, considering some often claim it to be one of the worst RPG’s ever. While not outstanding, most people who have checked out the game don't feel it's ''bad'' per se so much as it feels incomplete.

Not a subjective trope.

* NostalgiaFilter: For kids with N64s, this was often their first exposure to [=RPG=]s. Thus, it has a curiously disproportionate level of recognition despite its technical obscurity--and despite its actual quality.
