** ManlyTears are shed as against all odds the boys [[spoiler:succeed in their last desperate plan and bring down the USC!]]
** The Chairman rescuing a puppy from a raging waterway.
*** Which he follows up by rescuing "Honey" from her kidnappers. From a speeding car. While on a bicycle.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** Gakuto triumphantly destroying [[spoiler:the figurine he considers to be worth three years of his life]] on sheer principle.
** After [[spoiler:the USC carry out plan OBE]], all seems lost. Feeling guilty, Shingo asks the others to [[HitMeDammit hit him if they wish]], since he benefited from the USC's manipulation while the others suffered. Kiyoshi lifts his fist... and lightly punches him in the shoulder, before saying they're now even. The group then agrees that they've all done their share of mistakes, and that apologizing is enough.
*** This veers into comedy once Shingo reveals he got close to Anzu while he was outside, and even got to see her nipple (at which [[MyFistForgivesYou the group beats him up for real]] and calls it even), but after dozens of chapters of distrust and in-fighting, there is something very genuine in everyone accepting one another's mistakes, and their newfound determination to find a way out of their situation together.
** The flashback chapters that show how Mari helped a meek and bullied Meiko find confidence and self esteem.
** Kiyoshi being AboveTheInfluence towards Chiyo when she was [[BeAWhoreToGetYourMan blatantly offering herself to him]] out of insecurity and feelings of inferiority towards Mari.
** For a time, Risa is uncertain that anyone she knows would count her as a "friend" exactly, but Keito assures her that she does.

** Anzu's NoHoldsBarredBeatdown on Shingo [[http://mangafox.me/manga/kangoku_gakuen/v10/c101/12.html when he tries to replicate the scenario that led to Kiyoshi's first kiss.]]
** Gakuto's reaction to [[spoiler:discovering Mitsuko's hand drawn boy's love manga based off him and Jo!]]
** Hana and mushrooms. That is all.
*** The anime really takes the scene where Hana's memories return to another level, building up the most dramatic music only to cut out with an anticlimactic *pop!*.
** The Micky Mouse-esque ArtShift in Gakuto's [[ImagineSpot mental image]] of a conversation between him and Kiyoshi [[http://mangafox.me/manga/kangoku_gakuen/v08/c077/3.html here.]]
*** Other amusing [[ImagineSpot Imagine Spots]] include Andre's fantasies of [[http://mangafox.me/manga/kangoku_gakuen/v10/c094/14.html Andreconomics]] on [[SeriousBusiness masochist wall street]] and subsequent HBSD when his stocks crash.
*** [[http://mangafox.me/manga/kangoku_gakuen/v10/c110/9.html Hana with a moustache!]]
*** And now Chiyo gets in on the action with [[http://mangafox.me/manga/kangoku_gakuen/v14/c135/19.html the craziest mental image yet!]]
** After [[spoiler:Mari]] manages to smuggle a cellphone into the prison [[VictoriasSecretCompartment in her cleavage]], [[spoiler:Kiyoshi]] shoves it back in after making their call. The next time we see them [[spoiler:Kiyoshi's]] sitting on the ground with [[MegatonPunch a heavily bleeding face.]]
** There's something that's just so hilariously endearing about Hana's [[http://mangafox.me/manga/kangoku_gakuen/v10/c114/5.html utter determination to get her revenge despite everything that's happened to her.]]
** The easily miss-able translators note when Mitsuko [[InterruptedIntimacy interrupts]] FanPreferredCouple Kiyoshi and Hana [[http://mangafox.me/manga/kangoku_gakuen/v10/c116/17.html right when they were about to give in to their urges.]]
** In the flashback to the girl's childhood, Keito has quite the delayed reaction to Mari calling her 'a base woman' because she doesn't know what the term means, having had to look it up in the dictionary. Fast forward back to the present day and a furious Keito has to do it again with the dictionary now ''filled'' with post-it bookmarks, implying that this is a regular thing.
** Due to MemeticMutation, "It's her nipple! [[PunctuatedForEmphasis Her...fucking....NIPPLE!]]"
** Risa quite literally putting Andre out to pasture before the cavalry competition.

* WinBackTheCrowd: Alongside ''Manga/ShokugekiNoSoma'' and ''LightNovel/{{Shimoneta}}'' which aired during the same season, this show helped give Creator/JCStaff a second wind among the anime fandom. Before this show J.C. Staff had received a lot of ridicule from anime fans for their low animation quality, the SeasonalRot of ''LightNovel/ShakuganNoShana'' as well as actively killing the ShanaClone trope, and producing many widely ridiculed light novel adaptations such as ''LightNovel/AriaTheScarletAmmo'', and ''LightNovel/IsItWrongToTryToPickUpGirlsInADungeon''. However this show and the two other examples listed above reminded fans that J.C. Staff can still work on unique and interesting new shows.

* StrawmanHasAPoint: While the Official Student Council are seen as the "villains" of the second arc, due to their harsh treatment of the Underground Student Council, Keito does point that their treatment of the USC members is honestly NotSoDifferent from how the USC members would punish the boys. Both groups are psychically abuse to their prisoners and aren't above using blackmail. Even Keito's apparent MoralEventHorizon of tricking Meiko into thinking she'd burned alive a nest of baby crows, is almost identical to the time Mari made it look like her crows were eating Joe's ants in order to provoke a violent reaction from him. In both cases, the animals turned out to be perfectly safe. After everything the USC did to the boys, it [[LaserGuidedKarma only seem fair that the OSC's punishment should be same as the USC's]].
