* IdiotPlot: The villains are trying to ''inflate the sun'' with a ''broken ghost detector''. To power up the ''Electric'' Pokémon. Yeah, not the Fire Pokémon or anything. Could be a [[BlindIdiotTranslation really bad explanation]] for [[ArtisticLicensePhysics something involving solar flares or sunspot activity]]?

** The female protagonist/Ran has an uncanny resemblance to Serena of ''VideoGame/PokemonXAndY'', with May's giant ribbon from ''Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire'' instead of a NiceHat.

** Grey Stone Gym. It's based off Mossdeep Gym from ''Ruby and Sapphire'' (in other words, conveyor maze) except for the fact that it's [[UpToEleven somehow even harder to navigate]], and there's '''Strength boulders''' there too! It can take up to an hour to get to Danny, [[ThatOneBoss and the fun doesn't stop there...]]

** Fautso. While the choices for ghosts are lackluster before you fight him, use the Fire starter or Tigat and spam Bite. It doesn't help that the latter is common after the first Gym.

** Stulo and its evolution Fungio are very fast (making them hard to escape from), use Mean Look to prevent switching or escape, spam bad status moves, and have Effect Spore, which can cause a physical attacker to get either [[StandardStatusEffects Sleep, Poison, or Paralysis]]. In fact, the hack shows that they are replacements of Zubat and Golbat, even having the exact same cry. Oh, and they can also learn ''Fly''.

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: {{Main character}} is trying to escape the CrapsackWorld and his/her rival/everyone else in the world is a molesting stalker. (Thanks, Zorak.)
