* DisproportionateRetribution:
** Yes, many of the people portrayed on the show were [[TooDumbToLive idiots]] and/or [[AssholeVictim assholes]], but in some of their cases the horrible way they died was probably far in excess of what they deserved to have happen to them.
** Another good example was the nature lover who got hit by a car and decapitated while trying to resuscitate a raccoon that she ran over. Yeah, she was a little nutty and maybe giving CPR to a dead animal isn't necessary or wise, but there was no one on the road when she came to the dead critter on the road, so the driver had all the time in the world to stop or swerve.
** And the Amish boy on Rumspringa (a time for Amish teens to go out and live like "normal" teens {i.e., drink, smoke, have premarital sex, drive cars, experience modern technology, wear colorful clothes, etc} before buckling down for a life of work) who died of drinking alcohol because his body was genetically incapable of doing so. He just wanted to have fun (considering the sheltered culture he lived in), it wasn't like he was a jerk when he drank, and the Amish don't really believe in modern medicine, so how was the boy supposed to know he had that problem?
** A stewardess is sucked out of an airplane while she was ''still alive'', freezing to death on her way down. Sure, she may have been a bit cranky and indifferent toward her passengers (as it was her last flight before she retired), but still, that's just ''awful''.
** There was a man who got shot in the chest -- by a bullet that was [[FiringInTheAirALot fired directly into the air]] by some more rowdy New Year's celebrators.
** And the belly dancer who accidentally hanged herself when she tossed her scarf in the air while practicing for an upcoming contest. She did nothing wrong (except leave the ceiling fan on while she was practicing) and actually put herself through veterinarian school with her talent by dancing at Middle Eastern restaurants and nightclubs. At least she died doing what she loved...
** The Vegas showgirl who contracted a flesh-eating virus from an old, rusty razor and died of sepsis. There was ''nothing'' in her story to indicate that she was a bad person -- the issue was that because she performed all night and slept all day, she could never find time to get to the store. Essentially, the only thing she did wrong was ''not be more mindful.''
** The Christian boy who died when a meteorite shot through his chest (even though there is no record of anyone ever dying of a meteorite hitting them). Sure, he was a bit awkward, and attempting to push his religion at a drunken frat party wasn't the best way to make friends, but he seemed like a genuinely decent kid who was just trying to socialize.
** The obnoxious girl who died from Irukandji syndrome ([[MindRape one of the most painful ways to die]]) after [[TooDumbToLive swallowing a jellyfish]]. She was only that way because she had a friendless childhood and she spent the last minutes of her life feeling her throat swell up, all the while getting painfully stung to death from the inside, with no one to help her because [[CryingWolf they thought she was faking it]].
** The girl who dies after her breast implants explode from high-altitude air pressure on a plane. Her only crime was getting cheap implants from a BackAlleyDoctor, as a result of her [[ACupAngst wanting bigger assets]].
*** Same deal with the woman who got phony butt implants so she can get with a rapper and suffered an embolism from the bathroom caulk going through her body. The only thing she did wrong was not go to a legitimate plastic surgeon. (The case might have been inspired by people like [[http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/witness-testifies-butt-injection-case-article-1.1179856 Padge "Black Madam" Gordon]] or [[http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/20/butt-implants-fake-doc_n_1103933.html Oneal Ron Johnson]].)
** The secretary from "Blown Job" (#118). She refuses to give her boss a blowjob and receive a promotion in return, and drowns her sorrows in energy drinks. When she finds out that her boss gave the promotion to a ''male'' employee who was willing to go down, she confronts him about it...and suffers a heart attack from so much caffeine.

** "Jack N' Croaked" recounts the death of the famous Jack Daniel; in short, he gets a nasty gash on his toe after trying to kick open his safe, which then becomes infected and he dies of sepsis two days later. That's right, something as seemingly benign as a ''cut'' can spell doom for you if you let it get infected. Granted, his death was over a hundred years ago, when medicine was far less advanced, but ''still''...
** "Nite Capped" features a man and his girlfriend coming home from a New Year's Eve party. Suddenly, an unknown bullet pierces through the man's chest, and enters his heart, stopping his circulation system and killing him without warning. As it turns out, another party was going on a few miles away, and one of the dazed guests at that party shot a handgun in the air to ring in the new year. The stray bullet ended up building enough velocity to ricochet and travel several miles away and cause the death. Needless to say, there are ''good reasons'' why shooting a gun in the air for any reason is considered a criminal offense. 
* ReplacementScrappy / TheyChangedItNowItSucks: RonPerlman's replacement as narrator. Considering the show ended not long after, it seems to have been the final nail in the shows coffin.
* [[UnfortunateImplications Unfortunate Things Said Outright]]: [[spoiler: The Neanderthal 1000 ways to die, how they classify 'women who sits around and thinks of things to complain about.]] Really? Dear god really, that didn't raise ANY fucking flags with the censors?

* ReplacementScrappy / TheyChangedItNowItSucks: RonPerlman getting replaced by Joe Irwin as the narrator. Considering the show ended not long after, it seems to have been the final nail in the show's coffin (along with the SeasonalRot and Spike TV messing with the show's timeslot).
* [[UnfortunateImplications Unfortunate Things Said Outright]]: The story of the Neanderthal who killed himself from smoke inhalation after creating fire to spite his cave girl who spent her days sitting around, thinking of things to complain about to her husband. While that stereotype is true to a point, the show writers could have shown some restraint and not outright say that. What's worse is the implication that the way men and women act now is no different than how their prehistoric ancestors acted.

* ReplacementScrappy: The replacement of RonPerlman as the show's narrator is ''not'' going over well with the fans and adding more to the SeasonalRot of the series.
* SeasonalRot: To quote Fry from ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}'', "This show has been going downhill since season three". This isn't helped by the increased amounts of narm, the removal of the actual stories that could have ended in death but didn't (though they did bring back the trivia segments that were only seen in the pilot episode), the lower production budget, and the cartoonish personalities of the characters involved.
* SpecialEffectsFailure:
** Sometimes, it's painfully obvious when a mannequin has been substituted in during a death scene.
** "Turtle Waxed" (the story of the poacher who died when an eagle dropped a turtle on his head) took it to another level. Better effects have been seen on cable access.
** "Snakenstein" (The one with the doctor bringing a snake back from the dead) you can tell the wolf head used was clearly a cheap animatronic.
** The meat truck in "Meat Your Maker" is clearly not a meat truck on the outside--it lacks the cooling apparatus all refrigerated trucks have, so it is just a drywall van with a PaletteSwap. ** In "Plank Spanked", while Chris is falling on top of a swing set, you can see the wire used to drop him.
* {{Squick}}:
** "Bessie" from "Heart On", Episode 12. Such a disturbing ([[NauseaFuel and nauseating]]) combination of bestiality and necrophilia. 
** The girl's breasts exploding in "Titty Titty Bang Bang." 
** And Pukey Suki the emetophiliac.
** "I'M COVERED IN ASS BLOOD!"
* UnfortunateImplications: Quite a few of the stories on the show have them.
** The show ''is'', essentially, simulated snuff TV, like those ''Faces of Death'' films. The hyper-sexualization of the female victims is shamelessly creepy.
** The show's habit of mocking people with unusual fetishes (some of whom did little wrong outside of being "deviants") could definitely rub certain viewers the wrong way.
*** Case in point: The man who had a fetish for amputees. That's it. He didn't [[KickTheDog kick puppies]] or steal. He had sex with a girl with had a fake arm and fake eye. According to the narrator, this made him a freak who deserved his fate.
** And the StrawmanPolitical nature of some deaths comes off less like simple RippedFromTheHeadlines humor and more like a very unwelcome view of who the show's writers would like to see die, and how they'd like to see it happen.
** Or a few of the deaths that seemed to come off as torture porn. The girl whose boobs exploded on the plane comes to mind...
** The fact that many of the deaths happen in a way that the bystanders would either be scared for life or be the prime suspect in their death.
