* ContinuityLockout: Slightly, but for those that never saw the 2018 stage show (which was only in Japan), they'd probably wonder why Ann seems so familiar with the Straw Hats to the point she's worried and likewise cheering them on during the events. She was a main character in the stage show and befriended the Straw Hats who had saved her from the villain in that story.

* UncannyValley: The [=CG=] work is absolutely beautifully done, especially the monster created by Bullet's Devil Fruit ability, but it's very poorly integrated with the animation and comes off as incredibly jarring.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot and Plot]]: The trailers put heavy emphasis on the EnemyMine team-up, which turns out to last a grand total of ten minutes. Many of the featured characters involved are more or less extras, like:
** Lucci, who barely gets any speaking lines, doesn't directly join the team-up at all, and just contributes to the fight with one blow to Bullet from the sidelines,
** Crocodile, who also doesn't directly join the team-up and just works with Law in regards to the plan (though, in fairness, he wasn't advertised as being part of the team to begin with),
** Sabo, who doesn't even show up in the movie at all until right before this fight (long enough for a brief skirmish with Smoker before they decide to work together),
** And to a lesser extent, Hancock, who gets a few more lines than the others, but still doesn't show up until over halfway through the movie just looking for Luffy.

** A Buster Call is summoned to deal with the threat Bullet poses. In fact, he's such a threat that he warrants ''two'' Buster Calls!

** The treasure prize that Roger supposedly "left behind" turns out to be an Eternal Pose to ''Laugh Tale'' (the official name for what fansubs, fandom, and even Viz were referring to as Raftel).

* HolyShitQuotient: Hoo boy, many:

** With the exeption of Law, none of the Supernovas actually get to partake in the final fight alongside Luffy.[[note]]This includes Zoro, but he at least gets other fights and still has a good amount of screentime.[[/note]] While they ''do'' appear at the [[BackForTheFinale very end]], they're essentially written out halfway through the movie after getting [[CurbstompBattle curb-stomped]] along with Luffy by Bullet.

** With the exeption of Law, none of the Supernovas actually get to take part in the final fight alongside Luffy. While they ''do'' appear at the [[BackForTheFinale very end]], they were essentially written out of the movie half way through after getting [[CurbstompBattle Curbstomped]] by Bullet.

** Turns out there are loads and loads of them, including all of the Eleven Supernovas, Cavendish and Bartolomeo, Blackbeard, Crocodile, Mihawk and Perona, Hancock, Sentomaru, Hatchi, Camie and Papagu even Wapol (alongside his non-canon brother Musshuru)... but none are as unexpected as ''Foxy the Silver Fox'' (though he, like most of the others listed, doesn't play much of a role and is more of a cameo with multiple scenes).
** Heck you can even spot a few filler characters here and there like Drake (the movie one not the supernova one) and Grout from the ''Marine Rookie Arc''.
** It's not technically him, but Ann uses her power to project ''Ace'' at Sabo's request. The projection doesn't talk or really move, but it was a ''very'' unexpected cameo.

** Carina from "Film:Gold" even makes a quick cameo at the start (During the GoodTimesMontage when the crew explore the island. She's in the beauty contest Nami enters and wins. Heh, guess Nami did get even for her taking Gild's ship at the end of that movie).
