Only applies to/goes under the work made this, not the one causing it.

* HilariousInHindsight: Rarity freaks out about Cadence's hair looking like a porcupine, while in ''WebAnimation/TurnaboutStorm'', a crossover featuring [[Franchise/AceAttorney a certain lawyer famous for similar jokes about his hair...]] She was the one pony who ''didn't'' make fun of his hair, and in fact [[SubvertedTrope actually]] ''[[SubvertedTrope praised]]'' [[SubvertedTrope it!]] Probably because Phoenix's "porcupine hair" is both deliberately patterned -- all flowing mostly the same direction -- and is complimented by his suit and posture. The exact opposite of Cadance's rat nest of a hairdo.

AA doesn't apply where there was an intended Aesop. BA is now YMMV.

* AccidentalAesop: [[TruthInTelevision Sometimes it takes an honest opinion from a fellow tourist to make up for what you've missed, whether or not you'd want to see it for yourself.]]

to:

* AccidentalAesop: [[TruthInTelevision Sometimes BrokenAesop: Ms. Harshwhinny eventually decides to host the games in the Crystal Empire, saying that every other place she visited tried to put on airs, while she got the story of how great the empire was from a normal pony. The problem is the only reason the tourist has such a glowing opinion of the empire is because she experienced all of the things that they were doing to specifically impress Ms. Harshwhinny, while Harshwhinny herself only got grief and frustration from the Crystal Empire citizens. So if the moral was meant to be "People will be more impressed by sincerity than by fake attempts to seem great", or "Sometimes it takes an honest opinion from a fellow tourist to make up for what you've missed, whether or not you'd want to see it for yourself.]]yourself", then it undermined its own message.

Now Flame Bait and definition only

* IdiotPlot: The main plot hinges on the Mane Six being incredibly vague when talking to the tourist, while the subplot involves Rarity (a pony without professional stylist training) attempting to do something most of Cadance's royal stylists don't know how to do. Granted, it all works out in the end, but everything hinges on the Mane Six making very stupid decisions. In fact, the ''entire plot'' could have been avoided with a simple "Hello, Ms. Harshwhinny" or even a "Ms. Harshwhinny?", or even flagging her down by writing the word "Harshwhinny" on a simple piece of paper like real chauffeurs use.

Added DiffLines:

* FanNickname:
** Some fans have taken to naming the tourist "Ms. Peachbottom" after [[WorkingTitle the original name of the Equestria Games inspector]], while the Derpibooru Community has given her the name "Chickadee" based on her chicken cutie mark.
** For Rainbow Dash's father, popular fan nicknames are "[[GeniusBonus Roy G. Biv]]" and "Spectrum", and occasionally [[FanFic/OnACrossAndArrow Rainbow Blitz]]. [[UnnamedParent "Rainbow Dad"]] is also acceptable. [[http://www.fimfiction.net/story/97830/dashs-new-mom This fanfic]] uses Blue Streak.
** The fans referred to the Crystal Mud Bath as the "Gak Bath", due to it behaving very much like the product in question, the commercials for which appeared incredibly often during the season premiere.

* FridgeLogic: ...how did Cloudsdale think they could host the Games when two thirds of the population can't stay up there? Were they going to hire hundreds of unicorns to provide cloudwalking spells for all the spectators and participants?

Outdated formatting and since apparently no-one felt strongly enough about to add context...

%%* SoOkayItsAverage: The episode itself for many viewers.
* {{Squick}}: While it's PlayedForLaughs, there's still something unsettling about the [[MistakenForSpecialGuest tourist]] flirting with Shining Armor, a married stallion. The fact that she calls him "prince", a title he earned through marriage, more than likely means she knows he's married, yet she flirts anyway.
** [[http://images.wikia.com/mlp/images/e/e5/Shining_Armor_nauseated_face_S03E12.png The face that Shining Armor makes]] doesn't really help, either.

* OneSceneWonder: Rainbow Blaze. He only appears for less than 15 seconds in her flashback, but as his appearance marks the first ever canon family member for one of the main pegasus ponies in the series, fans have already started to get pretty excited over him.

* ItWasHisSled: To have the episode end with Spike, the Crusaders and the pets hiding from the Mane Six doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Their featured episode where it's revealed they avoided detection had already aired.

Like what? This is sounding more like a one-troper crusade to save Cadence\'s image than a statement of something that can be observed without bias.

* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: As pointed out back in [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS3E8JustForSidekicks "Just For Sidekicks"]], Cadance didn't invite Spike to help welcome the games inspector, which caused some bronies to start disliking Cadance, especially since Spike helped save the Crystal Empire. However, considering the events that occurred here, especially what the Mane 6 went through, it's quite evident that Cadance had understandable reasons for not inviting Spike, so it may no longer matter that Spike wasn't invited.
