** After Mulberry [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/mulberry/index.php?issue=8&page=7 prevents]] some [[CartoonAllStarsToTheRescue cartoon all-stars]] from making Jack endure anti-piracy lectures in "Jack the Ripper," she never mentions meeting them again. WordOfGod says this was originally going to be part of a BrickJoke, with additional cartoon characters appearing later to lecture Jack, but the second scene would have disrupted the flow.

*** [[spoiler:For readers who didn't like the thought of another all-male Ghostbusters team, its cancellation adds this tone to the last page's lack of support for the idea. Additionally, while Peter correctly predicted Chris Pratt getting signed on to the reboot, none of the other hypothetical men he listed did, including the one he dreaded would get top billing, Seth Rogen. (Some 2012 rumors listed him as a potential new Ghostbuster, but top billing for this film would have apparently instead gone to Chaning Tatum, whom this comic doesn't name-drop.)]]

*** Kate [=McKinnon=]'s absence from Mulberry's list of alternate female Ghostbusters seems to suggest that [[ItWillNeverCatchOn she doubts McKinnon's potential to become one of her time's greatest comediennes]], which might sound ironic to readers who now [[AndYouThoughtItWouldFail consider her the funniest star]] of ''Ghostbusters (2016)''. [=McKinnon=] stealing [=McCarthy=]'s chances of becoming the most-beloved Ghostbuster of this movie can make this whole story either Hilarious or Harsher in Hindsight, depending on which actress the reader usually prefers.

** In "Mulberry's Epic Yarn", Mulberry [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/mulberry/index.php?issue=21&page=10 shoots]] [[Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer Willow Rosenberg]] with her FingerGun, then proclaims, "That's official canon, by the way." Later, ''Webcomic/FreeSpirit'' would allow Jessie Harper, another TV character portrayed by Willow's actress, to become a key part of the Platypus Comix oeuvre.

** "Mulberry's 2004 Fall TV Preview" [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/mulberry/index.php?issue=1&page=3&seriesID=4 describes]] ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'' as, "...the heartwarming tale of a misfit ninja who has a demon killer fox in his belly button!" Taking this quote out of context today, it could sound like a combination of ''Naruto'' and ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'', the titular character of which has a magic gem in his belly button.

* HarsherInHindsight: "My Fat Lady" ends with the less crude Creator/MelissaMcCarthy helping ''Film/Ghostbusters2016'' earn a reception as glowing as that of ''Film/Ghostbusters1984''. The hopes that ''Ghostbusters'' would boast one of [=McCarthy=]'s least crude performances would eventually come true, but it would only earn a SoOkayItsAverage critical reception and box office performance[[note]]a 73% Website/RottenTomatoes score vs. the original's 97%, and a worldwide gross that covered the production budget, but not advertising[[/note]. As a less significant example, Mulberry's suggestion that Sony cast Creator/AubreyPlaza as Janine feels ironic considering they would end up giving the Ghostbusters a male secretary (played by Creator/ChrisHemsworth), and that he'd prove more {{ditzy| secretary}} and [[BaseBreakingCharacter base-breaking]] than Janine did.

*** Mulberry's ImagineSpot about tasteless fat jokes ''Film/Ghostbusters2016'' could make includes one where Melissa [=McCarthy=] loudly eats a sandwich during an investigation. Swap [=McCarthy=] with Kate [=McKinnon=], and replace the sandwich with Pringles, and this would perfectly match an actual gag in the movie.
