In the novel, while having [[AbusiveParents a perfect]] FreudianExcuse for her gluttony, nobody really forces her into her contract or her first try at cannibalism, and she's just so gleeful while [[spoiler: eating the flesh of the man she claimed to love.]]

* CrossoverShip: [[Music/SoundHorizon Märchen]]/the Master of the Graveyard has a few fans, though it's normally presented as FoeYay.

** While Allen isn't exactly the embodiment of evil, there are plenty of fans who like to ignore his less sympathetic qualities (looking down on/ignoring anyone he doesn't happen to like, killing his own adoptive father to appease his sister, etc.) and focus exclusively on his tragic woobie status. In extreme cases, they'll go on to [[RonTheDeathEater demonize Riliane]] and blame her for the whole thing, despite the fact that Allen did a lot of the underhanded deeds he committed were done by his own choice.

** It's a rather small meme, but recently anywhere [[HangingJudge Gallerian]] is mentioned, someone will say something about [[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants Mr. Krabs]].

** Due to the fair amount of difficulty in fans outside Japan finding information outside of the songs and the possibility of Youtube reuploaders not sourcing videos correctly, many fanmade songs and PVs for Story of Evil are taken as fact. Interestingly, many plot points from those songs actually do happen in canon, though in different ways (like Daughter of Green introducing a monarch who sacrificed their child's happiness in order to start a war, and Daughter of Vengeance having Germaine wanting to avenge an unjustly-executed loved one). There are still some major differences, leading to a very confused audience when new songs like Thousand-Year Wiegenlied and Handbeat Clocktower contradict what the fansongs claimed.

* InternetBackdraft: Discussing who Michaela loved is a pretty good way to start an argument in some circles. Fanmade songs, such as Daughter of Green and at least two different songs titled Prince of Blue, get cited as evidence rather frequently in favor of either Kyle or Allen, something not helped by the fact that the official Daughter of White PV actually ''does'' seem to suggest Michaela loved Kyle (she appears to be hugging him back). On the other hand, information from books isn't as easily accessible, but they contain the clearest explanations as to Michaela's relationship. The result is a lot of confusion and attempts to sort out what's canon or not. On rare occasions, an insensitive remark against Clarith x Michaela can result in accusations of homophobia, causing the conversation to take a sharp turn out of control.

** Prim of ''Story of Evil'' can cross this in one of several places, depending on whether you consider what happened first in the timeline or what the audience got to see first, but the most damning thing comes when the audience realizes that she [[spoiler:triggered two decades' worth of international suffering and warfare, all for the sake of spiting one woman who died halfway through this plot]].

** A huge amount of fans guessed a line in Evil Food Eater Conchita was about her being abused by her parents, but it never actually was explained, so that theory lost a lot of popularity. [[spoiler: Guess what happened in the novel?]]

* GodNeverSaidThat: For a while some fans were convinced that [[spoiler: When the girl from Bloodstained Switch was given the injection, she split into two, eventually becoming Elluka and Irina. It was even considered fact on the Evillious Wiki for Pete's sake!]]. But it turns out they were misreading the information given by Mothy. And ever since The Original Sin Act II album came out, the references made to the song's events on Elluka,Irinia and MAs' pages on the wiki have been removed, and that's probably for the best given what's actually been established in canon.
