* PolishedPort: The Wii U version of ''3 Ultimate'' upscales the graphics to HD and allows for online multiplayer, which the 3DS version does not have unless using the packet relay tool for the Wii U, making it more suited for players who are unable to regularly meet up with other ''[=MH3U=]'' players in person. Furthermore, the Wii U has two analog sticks built into the [=GamePad=] and the Wii U Pro Controller, allowing the player to use the right stick for camera controls without needing to buy an external accessory or a specific model of the console.

Now Trivia that needs Word of God to support it.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: After many weapon types and monsters were removed in ''Tri'', ''3 Ultimate'' brings all of the removed weapon types back and also adds a few more monsters from the first two generations.

* UnderusedGameMechanic: The 3DS version of ''3 Ultimate'' finally features online play for a handheld ''Monster Hunter'' game...but only if you have a Wii U and the packet relay tool for the game, and even then you can only join existing lobbies, not create one.

Without a Wii U, you're stick with local wireless multiplayer just like in past handheld ''Monster Hunter'' games.

On a second thought, the removal of the weapon classes was very panned by the players who mained them in previous games. Even the developers agreed that they shouldn't have been removed, hence why P3rd and 3U brought them back (though this unfortunately meant the Medium Bowgun never returned). I'll reword the pertinent part of the example to better reflect what was being debated

* BrokenBase: Some aspects of the game divided the ''Monster Hunter'' community back in its day. Was the game's release on Nintendo's UsefulNotes/{{Wii}} the right choice or not, considering that the previous games were only available on Sony systems? Is the underwater gameplay a great idea or not? Should the removed weapon classes have been left in the game or not? Should there have been more monsters from previous games, or was it the right choice to present a predominantly new bestiary? Many of these topics were addressed in ''Portable 3rd'' and ''3 Ultimate''.

Is the underwater gameplay a great idea or not? Should not (and if the removed weapon classes former, was it properly implemented or it could have been left in better)? Does the game or not? addition of the Medium Bowguns and Switch Axes compensate the removal of Dual Blades, Gunlance, Hunting Horn, and Bow? Should there have been more monsters from previous games, or was it the right choice to present a predominantly new bestiary?
