* TheUntwist: From the moment the first details about the novel came out, people already knew that Audrey was [[spoiler:a teenaged Mineva Zabi]], thanks to factors like her appearance, her age matching up with [[spoiler:Mineva]]'s, the latter's [[spoiler:mysterious disappearance at the end of ''ZetaGundam'']], and the [[ShoutOut obvious]] [[AudreyHepburn alias]].

* WinBackTheCrowd: The reception of the first half of the series was... good, in contrast to [[YourMileageMayVary the views]] on ''[[MobileSuitGundamSEED SEED]]'' and ''[[MobileSuitGundam00 00]]''. We're [[BrokenBase not even mentioning]] ''[[MobileSuitGundamSEEDDestiny SEED Destiny]]''.

** Not a ''full'' WTH, but fans were rather confused when it was discovered that ChiekoHonda would '''not''' be voicing Marida Cruz, despite the fact that 1) she played [[spoiler:both Purus in ''GundamZZ'']], and 2) she's still doing voice acting.

**** Though it's not like she hasn't voiced older women in Gundam [[AfterWarGundamX before]].
** The same thing happened for [[spoiler:Mineva/Audrey]]'s VA in ''ZetaGundam'' (MikiIto), though this is rather because of scheduling conflicts and the fact that female leads in Gundam are usually voiced by seiyu no more than 30 years of age (the female leads of the [[MobileSuitGundam original Gundam]], ''GundamX'', and ''{{The 08th MS Team}}'' are the exceptions). Still, many fans rather preferred MikiIto to play [[spoiler:Audrey]].

* {{Narm}}: Seriously, Full Frontal?
** The name, though extremely narmy, likely has some kind of ironic and fairly witty symbolism. Full frontal implies being "bare naked" or "fully exposed" while in reality the character wears a mask and is very mysterious.
** Also, full frontal can refer to a full on assault, so it also doubles as a shout out to the missing-in-action Char Aznable's combat style.
** On the other hand, he ''is'' aping a guy who spent a couple years going by the name Quattro [[strike:Vagina]] Bajeena.

** The Kobe Bylant.

* WTHCastingAgency: Not casting exactly, but the fact an avowed Japanese Imperialist author like Fukui is writing the novels is rather odd considering the blatant anti-war & anti-Axis themes of previous UC series. For perspective, it's a bit like having a sequel to ''{{Maus}}'' written by the guy who did ''TheTurnerDiaries''.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: When Loto pilot Daguza Mackle gets out of the cockpit of his mecha and fires a hand-held bazooka at the Kshatriya, temporarily blinding its pilot. He then built on it be showing some sort of precognitive or GenreSavvy skills (or just plain common sense) by jumping away from his mobile suit afterward, since the funnels' blind shots destroyed his Loto.
** In the novel said sequence is even more awesome, where said hand-held bazooka fires a net that traps two of the Kshatriya's [[AttackDrone funnels]].
** The first battle involving the Kshatriya, and subsequently the Unicorn's proper debut.
** Banagher gets a few while protecting Audrey. He reprograms Haro, fooling a couple of Neo Zeon {{mooks}} into thinking it's a bomb, throws it into the air, and then kicks their asses while they're distracted, catching Haro when he's finished with them. He then takes on Marida and manages to kick her to the ground, drag her by her coat and throw her off a maintenance lift.
** Arguably, Banagher's first CrowningMomentOfAwesome is when he first rescues Audrey while she's in free-fall by piloting a worker unit meant for space flight as opposed to atmospheric. After grabbing Audrey midair, his worker unit begins to run out of fuel, sending his unit plummeting to the surface. Does Banagher panic or freak out? No; he simply tells Audrey, "We're gonna be fine."
*** His friend Takuya seems to imply that Banagher did something awesome when they see the worker unit: "He didn't crash it, that was a forced landing."

* CrowningMusicOfAwesome: ''Gundam Unicorn'''s score is probably the most intensely cinematic of any ''Gundam'' series, OVA, or movie so far, which says quite a bit when you consider that past composers include YokoKanno, ToshihikoSahashi and Kenji Kawai.
