"Stick to Yr Guns" by Music/TheCribs, "Paradise Circus" by Music/MassiveAttack, "Delicate" by Music/DamienRice, and "Laser Beam" by Music/{{Low}} all also got huge boosts in popularity after being featured.

* BrokenBase: The new gang is this. Some find them enjoyable characters of their own right while others consider them to all be a ReplacementScrappy to the original gang.

** In 3.6 Rudy drops his ice cream upon discovering while urinating [[spoiler: what his one night stand did to his nether regions]].

*** Sarah turning Mark ''inside out.'' And this is just after the poor guy stopped being a tortoise, too!

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Brian, the "Milk Guy." Many hoped for what was essentially the season finale and the end of their community service [[spoiler:and, as it would turn out, the last time the cast all had their original powers, and one of the last times they were all together]] to make a serious discussion of fame and give the cast a chance to all use their powers as a team to defeat an apparently unstoppable bad guy. [[spoiler:Instead, the morals don't really matter because Curtis resets everything, and Brian easily kills everybody except Curtis.]] Overall, there's not a single time all the original cast is able to use their powers together, and few times that the cast even uses their powers to defeat the VillainOfTheWeek rather than rely on a DeusExMachina or simply luck.

* AcceptableReligiousTargets: Religion and spiritual beliefs were constantly getting dunked on. ''Constantly''. At least four villains were in some way related to religious beliefs.

*** It's especially egregious in Curtis's case, since Nikki ''dies'' in that episode and he seemingly forgets about her in Season Three and now he has the new power to turn into a girl. [[spoiler: Then his time travel power is lost [[WhatAnIdiot because Seth put it into his pet iguana]], which died, therefore nobody can use it ever again.]]

* IdiotPlot:
** Season 2 episode 4 could have been easily resolved at any time by Simon turning invisible and killing the Grand Theft Auto guy from ambush.
** A good deal of the problems from Seasons one and two could have been quickly and easily resolved with Kelly simply using her mind reading powers, but everyone seems to [[ForgotAboutHisPowers forget she can do so]]. Examples include, but are not limited to:
*** Finding a shapeshifter.[[note]]Ironically, the fake Kelly remembers her powers and manipulates the group while the real Kelly doesn't even think to.[[/note]]
*** Trying to find out what's causing the strange behaviour of their (mind controlled) teammates.
*** Checking whether their probation worker is the one leaving them threatening notes.

** [[Series/TheUmbrellaAcademy2019 Won't be the last time]] Creator/RobertSheehan plays a character in a superhero show who can [[ISeeDeadPeople see ghosts]]. A lot of Nathan's lines, such as calling adopted kids nutjobs and walking around wearing the wedding dress, become a lot funnier after The Umbrella Academy was released.

* DarknessInducedAudienceApathy: Everybody's life sucks from start to finish but it definitely falls into it when, by midway through Series 4, [[spoiler: all five originals have departed the series, four of them for unhappy reasons - three die and one ends up in prison, leaving only one to enjoy anything close to a happy life]].

* SomeAnvilsNeedToBeDropped: The show takes pains to educate people on what can be considered rape. If you didn't get it when it was implied by Alisha's use of her powers, it was later explicitly called rape by Curtis. Then there was the coach drugging his athletes and even later a very clear statement from Simon to Rudy that having sex with someone who's asleep is rape. Finn also counsels against having sex with very drunk girls.

* FridgeBrilliance: The existence of [[spoiler: Psycho!Rudy makes sense when you take a long look at Rudy's behavior: he wet the bed into his late teens, suffers from stifling levels of social awkwardness, deeply suppresses his emotions and traumas, and over the course of the series has shown a distinct lack of empathy, at least when nothing directly effects him]].
* FridgeLogic: In Series 1 Episode 2, Ruth produces a set of keys, giving the impression that she is a member of staff and has permission to be in the community centre after hours. As it turns out she is actually a client-there is no reason for her to have the keys or to be hanging around the community centre when it is closed. Given that the place has the security of a wet paper bag it's possible that she stole them, but there is no indication that she did or why she would.

* {{Memetic Mutation}}: Nathan is basically a FountainOfMemes.

** Abby is [[Series/{{Sherlock}} The Abominable Bride]]!

* UnfortunateImplications: Jess leaving a message to her past self telling her that she has to [[spoiler: sleep with Luke to have the baby, then kill him immediately after]], since there's ''no reason'' she should do that - she suddenly got saddled with a baby Luke claimed to be hers with no memory of conceiving, carrying or having it ([[FridgeLogic and he might have been lying about it being hers]], for all she knows) and was only with it for a day. It would make way more sense for Jess to just admit she loves [[spoiler: Rudy]], kill Luke as instructed and then maybe have a child with her LoveInterest further down the line when she's in a better position to care for one, but instead she decides to have a kid with a psychopath biological father with no way of providing for it.

* {{Adorkable}}: In the first two seasons, Simon is a shy and awkward loner who still manages to be likable, especially after his CharacterDevelopment. He grows out of it in season 3, as he is not really a dork anymore.

*** Trying to find out what's causing the strange behavior of their (mind controlled) team mates.

* ItWasHisSled: Nathan's power might have been a big season one spoiler, but it caught on so quickly as a Tumblr meme that it's now common knowledge even among those who have never watched the show.

* DracoInLeatherPants: Downplayed. Nathan isn't a villain, but he's still a pretty horrible person most of the time, but due to his looks and charisma he remains the most popular character on the show.
