Some are even saying that she hook up with Terumi by story's end, as that would be delicious irony for her to end up with the man she bullied and the fact that Terumi and her share some similar qualities.

** She constantly insults Terumi to possibly hide the fact that she has affection for him. Terumi standing up to her has made these feelings stronger.
** Seeing Terumi hanging out with another girl has probably invoked jealously in her and wanted the girl in question (Hanada) to leave Terumi by revealing Terumi's' lack of manliness so that she can have him all to herself. The fact that Hanada had a knowing face as she correctly alluded to her hidden feelings for Terumi has stunned her and only made her respond with a quiet denial.
** She acts cold and collected in front of everyone but Terumi managed to see a "deredere" side to her once. And it was him who managed to bring it out in the first place.
** Denying to herself in her own room about not liking Terumi and considering him beneath her while at the same time blushing and looking flustered in the same panel.
** Thinking silently to herself when her friends were talking of Terumi ability to get a girlfriend. She denounced him quickly but most likely did that to keep up appearances; she's really probably torn up inside.

* CharacterDerailment: Compare the most recent chapters (actually, all chapters after the first arc) to the earliest ones and see how much Terumi has changed... for the worse. In the beginning of the story, Terumi had a lot of inner dialogue and occasional snark, he had a high... well, above average self-esteem ("Even with [[{{Bishonen}} this face]], I'm still a man"), was determined to put an end to his loveless youth and inability to drink milk, and he was more active at opposing Kaoruko's weird antics. However, once Asahi's arc was over, Terumi lost all that, becoming meek, passive and gullible. Getting closer to his plot-driving dream denied him CharacterDevelopment and turned him into a FlatCharacter instead.
** This is debatable. While it may seem like Terumi has went from proactive to passive, when push comes to shove, he will become proactive. This usually happens when the girl in question starts to tease him so much that he loses patience and takes action. (Aoi doing foreplay on the bed, Tsukasa taunting him, etc.) Terumi himself holds back on his more wilder side due to fear of driving the girl away. Kaoruko encourages him to build on that trait and make it his defining character. In that manner, girls would then fall for him more easily.
