* GeniusBonus: At first glance Tamsin being a Dark Fae seems out of step with traditional Norse mythology. Valkyries are usually thought of as the (rough) Norse equivalent to [[OurAngelsAreDifferent Judeo-Christian angels]]. But actually, their depiction in Norse mythology was not always so positive. Many of the older myths describe them as violent war spirits. And they didn't just carry off the souls of the valiant dead, they helped ''make'' them dead. * IJustWantToHaveFriends: Shows signs of this, especially in "The Kenzi Scale."

* MoralEventHorizon: If Jack/Hades raping Tamsin while impersonating Bo didn't put him over, murdering Trick and Aife in the next episode did.

** Hale's rejection of Kenzi in "Fae'd to Black" is portrayed as a KickTheDog moment. But he had to reason to think anything was actually wrong with her (nor did anyone else), and last time she barged in him during a meeting (ignoring his attempts to tell her to stop) to talk about fashion. It's hardly surprising that he shut her out at the end.

** Dyson/Kenzi is popular as well. well, having been subtly hinted at from season 1 and heavily teased in season 4 [[spoiler:despite Kenzi's [[BetaCouple official relationship]] with Hale as of 4x06]].

* ShipTease: Kenzi and Hale, until the ship was canonized. ** Kenzi and Dyson. It's not solidly canon yet, but the ship is strong with this pairing. It became very obvious in season three that the powers that be are well aware of it. It became even more obvious in Season 4.

** They tried, and she refused. She took great pleasure in everyone's frustration and misery, and was uncaring at best about the possibility of the Fae being wiped out. Maybe not a villain, but definitely an unrepentant JerkAss.

Designated Protagonist Syndrome has been renamed to Vanilla Protagonist along with being redefined. This was because the trope was being misused to complain about protagonist the editor didn't like and generally as a "flaw" or "problem". Tropes Are Tools.
* DesignatedProtagonistSyndrome: Bo is sadly a rather plain main character mixed in with a large group of colorful supportive characters.
