* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Crooler. In episode 17, it's reveal that Crooler is the eldest our of her and Cragger. But her being denied of her birthright in favor of her brother by their parents did caused some serious issues in her. However, it doesn't justified the fact she nearly destory her brother's relationship with his closest friends, escpically Laval and cause a war among the other tribes simply because her parents seem to favorite Cragger over her.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic:

** An oft-mocked example is Eris frantically trying to restart her Speedor as Cragger charges her, rather than leaping out and flying away.

* NightmareFuel: Coupled with BodyHorror on several of the characters' battle scars. Most noticeable are Winzar and Crug. Winzar appears to [[EyeScream had his left eye scratched out]], and Crug's entire lower jaw has a metal replacement. '''He somehow had his entire lower jaw ripped off in battle.''' WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids

** The Ice Hunters. An AlwaysChaoticEvil tribe of undead ice age creatures with the ability to freeze solid every place they show up in. And they've proven to be the biggest challenge for our heroes so far. Their minifigures are littered with gruesome detail; exposed ribs and muscle fibres, trunks that have rotted to the bone, a vulture whose head has been literally bolted back together, entire body parts replaced by ice, and a character outright named "Mutrot".

* WhatAnIdiot: Cragger cut the rope that was being used to save his parents because he thinks he can lift up a giant crocodile tank with his bare hands.
** After being trapped at the bottom of the chasm with his wife, Crominus assures her that he has the utmost confidence in Cragger knowing that the lions are not at fault and holding no hard feelings against them. But mere minutes earlier, Crominus had ''declared war'' on the lions because Cragger fired a croc-flare. When Cragger tried to explain that it was an accident, Crominus replied, "We can't take that chance, son!" and continued to fight anyway.

** The Ice Hunters. An AlwaysChaoticEvil tribe of undead ice age creatures with the hability to freeze solid every place they show up in. And they've proven to be the biggest challenge for our heroes so far

* IronWoobie: Crooler sort of qualifies. Take one look at her backstory and tell me that she ''can't'' be emotionally damaged now. Then observe her actions. Not once does she give up on dethroning her brother.

* InternetBackdraft:
** This show does not sit well with fans of ''[[{{WesternAnimation/ThunderCats 2011}} ThunderCats]]'' (2011). The fans will tear you apart if you say that ''Legends of Chima'' isn't a rip-off of that show.
** Fans of ''WesternAnimation/{{Ninjago}}'' produced their own Backdraft, since ''Ninjago'' was originally intended to end the same year ''Chima'' began, causing many ''Ninjago'' fans to see ''Chima'' as a ReplacementScrappy. Even though LEGO has confirmed that ''Ninjago'' was not going to end, rabid ''Ninjago'' fans still think that ''Chima'' deserves to be cancelled.
** LEGO fans in general have been put off by just how much LEGO is investing in this theme. Comics, a TV series, a video game, an MMO, and an entire section of LEGOLAND Florida is only just scratching the surface. It feels like LEGO is trying to shove Chima down the throats of its fans while neglecting its other themes, which naturally leads to a lot of complaining on message boards.

* GrowingTheBeard: Overtime, the episodes have become more coherent, with much less Narm and increasing CharacterDevelopment.

Even though LEGO has confirmed that ''Ninjago'' was not going to end, rabid ''Ninjago'' fans still think that ''Chima'' deserves to be cancelled.

* OlderThanTheyThink: A [[LEGOThemes LEGO theme]] where anthropomorphic animals ride giant vehicles modeled after their own species? [[{{Ninjago}} The Serpentine say "Hi."]]

* ShownTheirWork: In a combination with [[GettingCrapPastTheRadar getting crap past the radar]] Eris in episode eight makes the real life Eagle mating sound, albiet sped up.

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: The lions. They claim to be the first race to have gained sentience, and as such believe themselves to be closer to chi than all the other tribes. * GrowingTheBeard: Episode 5 was notably lacking the Narm that was initially in the series, and Episodes 6 and 7 were highly devoid of the Narm of previous episodes, indicating dialogue and pacing improvement. In addition, Episodes 8-10 began to explore the depths of Crooler's control over Cragger, and the beard finally grew out completely with Episode 11.
