Fans of both ''Manga/KurokoNoBasuke'' and ''PrettyCure'' quickly associated this to her being Ryouta's up-to-that-point-never-mentioned little sister. ** Kagami for the avid Aomine/Kuroko shippers ; Kuroko for the Kagami/[[spoiler: Himuro]] shippers.

*** It later became canon that Kise actually does have two sister, which may have added fuel to this meme.

* FanNickname: Ahomine for Aomine, to go with Kagami's in-universe nickname Bakagami. (Both ''aho'' and ''baka'' mean "stupid" in different dialects.) Also Kisecchi for [[TheNicknamer Kise]].
** [=RIMFIRE=] is another one for Kagami due to the poorly placed song title in the season 2 opening.
** Apparently, Murasakibara is becoming known as 'Titan' or the 'Purple-haired Titan' due to his huge stature; the scene where he's chasing after Izuki makes it seem like a scene from Manga/AttackOnTitan.

* DieForOurShip: not so much for the English fandom, but very much so in the Japanese fandom.

* PeripheryDemographic: The series has a MASSIVE EstrogenBrigade. Actually that can be described as it's main following. 97 percent of fans are female, which is why you see Kuroko no Basuke merchandise in otome magazines and fairs

* HoYay: It's only natural to find ''mass amounts'' of fangirlish squealing in a series that's rampant with teenage guys running covered in sweat while passing balls to one another in a contact sport. Not to mention the overall lack of female presence and each character's ''obsession'' with basketball.
** Kagami/Kuroko is the obvious one, as the metaphor between 'Light' and 'Shadow' (and Kuroko declaring that he ''exists'' to bring Kagami into the light and writing in huge letters on the school courtyard that he'll make Kagami the best basketball player in Japan) and their gradual trust and closeness that culminates in them [[spoiler: re-exchanging vows to bring the Generation of Miracles to the ground after their huge defeat by Touou.]]

** Aomine/Kuroko as well, continuing the Super Special [[spoiler: ahem, Suspicious]] Relationship between a Light and a Shadow. Kuroko is shown, later on, to [[spoiler: genuinely want Aomine to love playing basketball again]] and Aomine is seen often [[spoiler: seeing Kuroko's face in other opponents]].
*** Kuroko is the only teammate Aomine has a FirstNameBasis with, and continue doing so even after their separation.
*** Aomine specifically went to visit Kagami just to spat about his dim light and remark how sad it was for Tetsu, one would think he come all the way there just to say Kagami is not worthy of Kuroko.
** Of course, Aomine and Kagami have this a respectable quantity.
** Practically ''all'' of the Generation of Miracles seem to be sheer HoYay ''magnets'':
*** Kise was pretty determined to get Kuroko to play basketball on the same team as him, treating the whole thing as something akin to asking a girl out (!?). Of course, Kuroko refused on the grounds of [[http://www.mangareader.net/670-33183-21/kuroko-no-basket/chapter-3.html having made a promise with Kagami to defeat the Generation of miracles.]] If that's not devotion, what is? Furthermore, Kise treated Kuroko's response as if [[http://www.mangareader.net/670-33184-2/kuroko-no-basket/chapter-4.html he was turned down]], [[http://www.mangareader.net/670-33191-4/kuroko-no-basket/chapter-11.html or dumped]] by a girl.
*** Midorima is repeatedly [[http://www.mangareader.net/670-48683-16/kuroko-no-basket/chapter-43.html referred to as]] {{tsundere}} by both current team members and the Generation of Miracles (i.e. Kise).
