* DiagnosedByTheAudience: Old Skull has a rather child-like nature and often refers to himself in the third person. It's unclear if this is due to some sort of mental deficiency or if there's some other factor at work.

Unapproved.

** Regardless of how he got that way, Deathraven probably qualifies. Once he betrays the party, he seems to actually enjoy twisting the knife in every way he can as described in KickTheDog on the main page. As opposed to him simply following orders from the Martians.

* BizarroEpisode: Issue 34, which does freely cop to being a filler issue to begin with, has Killraven stumbling on a secret society of African-Americans who quite literally went underground en masse after the Martians showed. He's nearly sacrificed to a tentacle monster, which causes these people to decide they'll stop living in caves and go topside. Killraven returns to the others to find they're all still asleep, apparently having experienced a case of YearInsideHourOutside.

** The society is portrayed with the appearance of stereotypical African tribesmen and the leader speaks in stereotypical pidgin, which is VERY winceworthy.

* HilariousInHindsight: The prediction that TV would fall out of phase in the 90s is pretty giggle worthy in itself, but the description of its replacement, a simulated reality system where you control the story, is just video games.

* MyRealDaddy: It was Roy Thomas who came up with the original idea, Gerry Conway who wrote the first two issues, but Don [=McGregor=] was the one who wrote pretty much all of Killraven's exploits (barring the odd filler issue).
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: The series has a lot of characters who make one-off appearances then just vanish into the aether, like Mint Julep and her freewomen.

* CompleteMonster: This duo from Amazing Adventures Volume 2, issues 27-31:
** Atalon the Fear Master is the administrator of the Death-Birth facility. Willingly selling out to the Martian regime, Atalon keeps countless slaves imprisoned where he forces them to breed, all so he may have the babies butchered and served to the tables of the Martian overlords, gloating frequently at his power over his slaves. Atalon intends to have one of the "Eves" slaughtered with her child by the evil Sacrificer, and when they escape, Atalon intends on hunting down and butchering them all, more concerned with the injury to his ego than anything else.
