** Youko falling in love with her rapist Yuugo, kissing him and thanking him for making her "strong" is so ridiculous ''that even Yuugo is shocked''.

* VanillaProtagonist: Many readers wonder why the main character of this story is the [[RidiculouslyAverageGuy boring college student]] instead of the hot, violent, badger-monster chick. Then in the second arc, [[spoiler:Hitomi [[FaceHeelTurn attacks Yuuya]] and]] leaves him for dead, whereupon Yuuya returns as a much [[TookALevelInBadass stronger]], smarter character. Even so, Yuuya is ultimately a NiceGuy and is quite a abnormality from the author, who usually writes [[WorldOfJerkass entire casts of psychos]] or well-meaning people who struggle with their murderous nature.

** The "Cobra Cannons" attempted rape scene with Brute Cobra and a prone Hitomi, which ends with the cannons being ripped off. Yes, snakes have two. Yes, he calls them that and it's spelled out in huge writing. Yes, they're shown uncensored and moving. Yes, there's close-ups of him about to stick them in. Yes, he's emasculated bloodily, fortunately before anything further happens. This crosses the line from outrageous to outrageously funny back and forth several times over.

** The GagPenis comedy spinoff about Inaba servicing beastmen in a soapland is amusingly sickening from beginning to end, to say the least. Even the dutiful fan scanlator for the series had to take a break before working on the chapter about the exhibitionist gay monkeys randomly performing before Inaba. And how does the story end? With parodies of the ''Franchise/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles'' to inform you about the unusual shape of turtle genitalia, that's how. Cowabunga.

** Pure proclaiming that "the one who has the most fun wins; that's what Killing Bites is!" manages to be the most forced example of the catch phrase in the series, as she's just barely avoided being crushed into paste and, unlike the likes of [[BloodKnight Hitomi]], neither Pure nor her opponent Rio are having fun at all. It comes off as a non-sequitur.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The sex-work-is-work spinoff presented itself as official not-quite-hentai with lots of nude scenes of Inaba to draw attention, [[BaitAndSwitch but it's a a fake out]] and past the first chapter it is exclusively GagPenis FanDisservice imagery. They only gave a couple topless pictures of Inaba that avert NippleAndDimed on the illustrator's Twitter profile after the spinoff ended.

They only gave a couple topless pictures of Inaba that avert NippleAndDimed on the illustrator's Twitter profile after the spinoff ended.

* NotBadassEnoughForFans: Readers loathed Yuuya in the beginning for being a plain civilian guy caught up in the Killing Bites, warmed up to his stronger characterization and newfound abilities in the Deathtival's preliminaries and then got mad at him again for caring about Hitomi and trying to redeem her after what happened. It doesn't help that Hitomi never stops being unreasonably agressive towards Yuuya despite trusting him.

** Inaba's spinoff in general is beastman GagPenis [[BestialityIsDepraved zoophilia]] under the guise of biology edutainment, with some shotacon chapters for good measure. It doesn't even have much pretty female nudity past the first exploitative chapter, either.

** The scene where [[spoiler:Eruza and Hitomi make out with each other while under Kaori’s aphrodisiac actually does its job as a {{Fanservice}} scene very well. But then Eruza starts thrusting her crotch on Hitomi’s while both still wear clothes on the lower half of their bodies, ensuring no actual skin-to-skin contact is being made. InUniverse this can be explained by the aphrodisiac being very strong, but it still is a rather silly sight, especially after you notice Eruza is thrusting her hips like a man would, which isn't very pratical when having sex between girls.]] On top of that, before, during and after this scene the manga still cuts to serious and violent fights happening elsewhere, which makes for some neck-breaking MoodWhiplash; and the context behind the scene is a huge WhatAnIdiot moment, so some people may [[{{Narm}} have trouble getting in the right mood]].

* WhatAnIdiot:
** Yatsubishi [[PowerPerversionPotential little move with Brute Civet]]. From a {{Doylist}} view, it’s obviously just an [[ExcusePlot excuse for]] Fanservice; but from the {{Watsonian}} or InUniverse view, it's an incredibly stupid idea for several reasons:
*** One of Civet’s teammate was affected by it, which means she was also left vulnerable. Despite both Civet herself and her player insisting she would snap out of the trance first, they didn’t give a single convincing reason for why they were so sure (they said Cheetah should have been aware of Brute Civet’s skill when she clearly didn’t). Surprise, Hitomi snapped out of it first. If Taiga had arrived later, Yatsubishi would have lost two Brutes to their own schemes.
*** Yatsubishi players still go for the “traditional” strategy of reuniting all their pieces, forgetting that Civet’s aphrodisiac affects everybody around her indiscriminately, and thus Kaori’s teammates would also be left unable to fight. Luckily for them Taiga is immune to it, but Kaori’s inner monologues show that this wasn’t expected.
*** Civet could have attacked Hitomi while she was going at it with Eruza, rather than waiting until they were finished. Presumably she didn’t because her bosses [[SkewedPriorities wanted to see the show until the end]].
*** Before the Destroyale started, Taiga commented with his sister that their group has stronger Brutes at their disposal, but Civet was sent under orders of the chairman. At no point they explained this decision, which implies they were more concerned with making this Destroyale [[GirlOnGirlIsHot a fun experience]] [[SkewedPriorities than actually winning this tournament with very high stakes]].
** Brute Gorilla gets sight of Rabbit running away and gives chase, inadvertently knocking over several trees and hitting his partner Kido/Brute Pangolin's BerserkButton, who stops him from going after Rabbit. Any sane person could see that him destroying nature wasn't on purpose, as he has SuperStrength...but instead of just taking a minute to actually explain to Kido, Gorilla has a FreakOut and throws a tree at him. [[spoiler:You can probably guess that [[HalfTheManHeUsedToBe it doesn't end well for Gorilla]]]].
** Chairman Sumitomo has evidence Shidoh conspired with the Ishidas in order to rig the game in their favor. Instead of revealing it to the audience immediately, he [[spoiler:instead attempts to have some more of his Brutes attack the winners of the Destroyale while they're already hurt and in no condition to defend themselves, a serious breach of the rules. Surprise, surprise, Shidoh has prepared for that, and all it ends up doing is giving Shidoh an easy way to justify convince the non-Ishida Brutes to turn on their masters and side with him. Not only that, but revealing Chairman Sumitomo's dishonorable act ends up allowing Shidoh to easily justify his coup to the public and make Sumitomo's correct assumption [[CassandraTruth look like a lie]]. Sumitomo's incredibly stupid decision to try to break the rules of the Destroyale ends up not only getting him and his counterparts killed, but losing all of their power as well]].
** After the entire camera crew for the Destroyale got killed, the higher-ups decide to hire Brutes for the task instead. So they force Ui, who they know is mostly harmless, to lead a bunch of other similarly inoffensive girls during the Destival. And her luck doesn't even rub off on them, as one is quickly MuggedForDisguise...

* NightmareFuel: Those sensitive to {{Gorn}} probably wouldn't like dealing with some of the fights, and it only gets worse the further you go into the series. Characters have been torn apart, severely injured and a number of gruesome fates, even if it doesn't indulge in outright gratuitous amounts of it. Kind of [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome inevitable]] when the combatants are turning into a number of predator animals -- and occasionally the fatal results of what most would've assumed should be helpless prey.
