* CriticalResearchFailure: Either on the part of the writers or on the part of Bill himself, but his speech about Franchise/{{Superman}} and [[SecretIdentityIdentity how Clark Kent is the disguise]], not Superman, is something anybody with even a passing knowledge of Superman will know is wrong, since he was raised as a human on earth and the Clark Kent identity predates the Superman identity by roughly two decades.
** Actually, Bill had it exactly right. Superman is his true personality, his real self, he only pretends to be Clark Kent. He is not really human, he is really an alien, so his human persona is his disguise.
** But that personality was not inherited from aliens, but from human upbringing. The kind, caring, unwaveringly just, but a little dorky personality was imbued by his human foster parents. Batman on the other hand, does fit this description, as Batman is disguised as Bruce Wayne, not the other way around.
** This particular tropes example depends on what you believe more: {{Nature Versus Nurture}}. And which [[TheAgesOfSuperHeroComics era of comics]] you are [[DependingOnTheWriter referring to]]. In Bill's case, he's describing [[TheGoldenAgeOfComicBooks Golden Age]]/[[TheSilverAgeOfComicBooks Silver Age]] Superman, appropriate for a man in his 60s.

** O-Ren Ishii is probably the most
popular villain in the series, even more popular than Bill. The fact that she gets a well developed backstory and has a lengthy fight sequence probably has something to do with it.

** Gogo Yubari. Some even felt sorry for the PsychoForHire when she was killed.
** Despite only appearing in a handful of flashbacks, Pai Mei is, without question, the most popular character in the films.

* AngstWhatAngst: While it's probably because she's too shocked to react [[spoiler: her mother killed right in front of her]]. Vernita's daughter doesn't looked upset about it.

* OneSceneWonder: Samuel L. Jackson as Rufus, the pianist. He quite literally only appears in one scene [[spoiler: before he is killed off screen along with everyone else in attendance for the wedding rehearsal.]]

** Vernita Green has the least screen-time, lack characterization compares to the other DVAS and is killed off early into the film (despite actually being the ''second'' DVAS to go down). The fact that she is probably pregnant herself during the time she killed the Bride is also never addressed.

* CompleteMonster: Boss Matsumoto from Volume I is a sadistic {{Yakuza}} boss and a pedophile. When O-Ren Ishii was around 9 years old, Matsumoto and his henchmen confronted her father (apparently, a Chinese-American soldier stationed in Okinawa), and despite him putting quite the fight, he is ultimately murdered by the mooks, while Matsumoto laughs on a couch. Then Matsumoto gets up, grabs the man's Japanese wife, tosses her on a nearby bed...and uses his own katana to stab her to death, narrowly missing child!O-Ren, who was hiding under said bed. Then, they set the place on fire and leave, laughing about it. An 11-year-old O-Ren poses as a child prostitute in order to kill him.
