After being refused funding by a potential investor, Banno has one of his Roidmude androids, Roidmude 002/Heart, assume the man's form and tortures it to take out his anger. Inserting negative emotions into the Roidmudes out of spite against his former partner, Banno's abuse leads to them becoming violently unstable, going on to rampage and kill countless people. Even after his death, Banno turns himself into a VirtualGhost, manipulating his own son into releasing his spirit before trying to kill him. After Krim Steinbelt cut off their partnership out of disgust for Banno's actions (which Banno blamed ''him'' for), Banno intentionally corrupted the Roidmudes with negative human emotions, his abuse ultimately causing their rebellion (and thus the deaths and injuries of hundreds if not thousands of innocent civilians) and HumansAreBastards mentality. After allowing himself to be killed by his creations and [[BrainUploading converting himself into a]] VirtualGhost, he [[AbusiveParents ultimately manipulates his own son Gou]] into [[SealedEvilInACan releasing him from captivity]], then instantly tries to kill him and Drive the moment [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness they're no longer of use]]. Throughout his rampage as Gold Drive, he puts ''both'' his children in mortal danger without a second thought (eventually trying to [[OffingTheOffspring outright murder Gou in cold blood]]), and [[spoiler:fools Medic into undergoing a procedure that turned her into his loyal puppet and to force Heart to obey him for a chance to save her ([[ILied which Banno had no intention of allowing Heart to ever do, planning to kill her with his endgame just to hurt him]]).]] Banno's endgame is nothing short of horrific: triggering a second Global Freeze then digitizing the population of the world and only giving new bodies to those who will bow down and worship him as the [[AGodAmI god he thinks he is]]. Ultimately, the [[ItsAllAboutMe only thing of value to Banno is himself]], and he will allow hundreds if not thousands of people to die, including his own children, to fulfill his selfish desire to rule over everything.

Despite seeing firsthand at least two instances of Roidmudes wanting to aid or leave humanity alone, he claims '''[[FantasticRacism all]]''' are unequivocally evil. Not only that but his blind hatred is starting to affect his relationship with his family and siblings, and it's already starting to manifest physically.

** The killer of Shinnosuke's father had crossed this a long time ago, as [[spoiler:Nira did it out of ''envy''. Just because Eisuke Tomari tried to help him.]] If they discount past events, then the lengths he went to cover it up, [[spoiler:including putting the girl that Eisuke died to save in mortal peril (in his own words, 'it would mean that your father had died for nothing')]] ''would''.
