* UncannyValley: The most common reaction to Sid and Elvis by the viewers. It seemed to get worse with every incarnation and whenever they got close to the camera.

In the temple, they actually had quite a lot of time in their hands (2:10 to be exact) but they waste most of this time due to their inability to find the ''obvious'' exit for the ball puzzle. This is easily brushed off but what really irks viewers is their refusal to leave the temple when they only had 20 seconds left even though they would've still won two of the monkey statues, had they listened and left the temple.
** The 'Brave Angels' are also considered this. Although they had a decent start (30 seconds after challenge 2), things went awry in the Abandoned Camp. The team kept on quarrelling and not being careful with the statues, ending up getting none of them. Then, in the Old Pyramid, the contestant started to come out far too late and got locked in, costing them a statue. The final challenge gave them 3 more, but it still made their 50 second Temple time one of the lowest ever. And then in the Temple, [[spoiler:the team goes home with nothing thanks to more arguments and coming out way too early, not attempting to finish the challenge.]]

** In the Olympians Special, 'Team GB' ''effortlessly'' run through all the challenges but what really takes the cake is in the temple, where they easily breeze through the temple and proceeds to just ''slowly walk'' like it was a cakewalk rather than rushing out of the temple. Michael Underwood even says they were just "showing off".

** Some younger viewers who watched the show at a young age ''really did'' believe you would get trapped in the Jungle Temple forever, had a team failed to escape. Subverted for most of the older viewers though, who see it more as NightmareRetardant than anything.

SurvivorGuilt also applies here with the lone escapee receiving loads of prizes for himself, with the cost of his two teammates and the golden monkey.]]

* TheWoobie: Lewis from the team 'Loony Toons' had an unfortunate run. He and his team did relatively well at first, even being able to score the Gold Monkey Statue. However, as he was running with the gold statue, he tripped over the rocks surrounding the sand and fell behind as a result. He was unable to make it back out with his team right before the time limit was over and missed out on the prizes. This also cost the team as a whole the gold statue since Lewis had it. The shots of Lewis' reaction during the aftermath makes it hard not to feel sorry for him. It doesn't help that his loss wasn't due to making the wrong decisions nor out of his own choice.
