** Ellen, having about enough of the shark's bullshit, going on her own with Jake's boat to end the thing. Bonus points for finishing off the shark with completing her late husband's PreMortemOneLiner.
--->'''(Flashback) Martin''': Smile, you sonofa-\\
'''Ellen''': -bitch!
** Jake surviving, [[AssPull as implausible as it may be]].

** Ellen assuming her husband Martin died of a heart attack from fear of Jaws. Yes, the same man who had the balls to fight the great white ''twice'' supposedly died from fear of it. Quite the insult to such a badass character.
** Michael's cry for Jake as it looks like he's eaten by the shark. As the Nostalgia Critic puts it, it sounds like he's doing an impression of a dolphin humping a goat.

** Hoagie somehow outrunning a great white in the ocean. Not helped by his shirt's dry in spite of that.
** Jake surviving being ''mauled'' by a great white.

** Ellen having flashbacks to her dead husband fighting Jaws... Even though she was never there. Makes her recounting and then finishing his PreMortemOneLiner rather odd.

** Michael's reaction when the shark takes Jake. Pretty wrenching to realize this thing has killed his brother and his best friend within a few weeks.

** The fact that the shark supposedly travelled from the United States to the Bahamas, all for it's revenge... Heck, the fact alone that it's supposedly attacking the protagontists for vengeance sounds quite silly.
** When the shark first attacks the crew, they sound less terrified and more irritated.

* FightSceneFailure: Sean's death, and, later, Ellen's NightmareSequence both depict the shark attack with a really fast montage of close ups of shark teeth, blood in the water, and glimpses of other shark parts, with a bunch of clothes tearing sounds and screaming dubbed in. You also have to wonder how the shark can bite Sean when he's not still leaning over the edge of the boat, unless we're meant to assume it chewed a hole through the bottom of the boat,

These last two has nothing to do with this trope.

** It gets worse. [[http://articles.latimes.com/1988-08-07/local/me-382_1_child-abuse Her mother told Child Protection]] about her husband's threats against her and her daughter three months before, but they closed the case a month later. This, despite neighbors stating that her father had made at ''least'' 500 threats against her. He stated that if he killed his wife, he'd have to kill his daughter, too. It ended up as a MurderSuicide.

* OlderThanTheyThink: As [[http://jabootu.net/?p=589 this review]] points out, the main things this movie is mocked for (the shark roaring and the shark seeking revenge) were actually present to some degree in the previous films (E.G in ''Film/Jaws2'' Martin points out it's weird they are being attacked by another shark and half-seriously suggests it might be looking for revenge. However, the whole idea is only brought up in one scene to be shot down and forgotten about.) Why this film is so reviled is mainly because it takes those two story elements and brings them UpToEleven, as if someone was deliberately trying to take the most ridiculous bits of the ''Jaws'' universe and make them stand out as much as possible.

*** Also doubles as StockFootageFailure, as the shot of the shark appearing out of the water was clearly taken from later on in the film when Michael, Jake and his crew were chucking chum in the water, explaining why the water was so bloody to begin with.

That and it looks like the sun is out when the shark appears when it’s ''night time'' when it attacks Sean.

* ScienceMarchesOn: It turns out that, for the great white shark and some of its relatives like the mako, electroreception is a low-priority sense. The zapper device the shark eats would only have caused it to react if it was strong enough to give the shark actual electrical jolts.
