* FranchiseOriginalSin: As [[http://jabootu.net/?p=589 this review]] points out, the main things this movie is mocked for (the shark roaring and the shark seeking revenge) were actually present to some degree in the previous films (E.G in ''Film/Jaws2'' Martin points out it's weird they are being attacked by another shark and half-seriously suggests it might be looking for revenge. However, the whole idea is only brought up in one scene to be shot down and forgotten about.) Why this film is so reviled is mainly because it takes those two story elements and brings them UpToEleven, as if someone was deliberately trying to take the most ridiculous bits of the ''Jaws'' universe and make them stand out as much as possible.

** Even harsher, she was suffering considerable abuse from her father at the time she was filming this movie, who put a sharp kitchen knife to her throat and threatened to kill her if she did not return from the Bahamas when filming was complete.
