Firstly, this isn't I Am Not Shazam because that's a title trope. "Vorpal Sword" is not the name of the sword, it's lowercase in the poem — it is a sword that is vorpal, whatever that means. So complaining about it being misnamed is wrong because it doesn't have a name. Finally, "vorpal" is a nonsense adjective, not necessarily the material (although it could be).

* IAmNotShazam:
** The name of the monster is 'the Jabberwock', not 'the Jabberwocky' -- like how the hero of ''Literature/TheOdyssey'' is Odysseus. However, it's called the Jabberwocky in numerous adaptations, likely causing the confusion.
** The hero wields the vorpal ''sword'', not the vorpal ''blade''. The term "vorpal blade" is used at one point, but in reference to the sword being made of vorpal.

* QuirkyWork: The poem is intentionally surreal and full of neologisms, which is why it became one of the most famous nonsense poems. It's also fitting, as Alice reads it in her dream.
