* HilariousInHindsight: ''WesternAnimation/{{Bolt}}'', a past Walt Disney Animation Studios production, has elements in its ShowWithinAShow that at least superficially resembles parts of ''Iwájú''; The young girl is given a pet (a lizard rather than a dog) that has been enhanced with powerful abilities by her father and faces a threatening villain who intends to capture her because he wants information from the father that would make him more dangerous and powerful.

* MagnificentBastard: Ms. Happiness is the HypercompetentSidekick to criminal kingpin Bode [=DeSousa=]. A cultured criminal secretary, Ms. Happiness plays an integral role in Bode's child kidnapping operation, using her expert acting skills to pose as an innocent Good Samaritan and return the children to the police once their ransoms have been paid. Ms. Happiness goes on to use these acting skills when participating in the kidnapping of Tola Martins, posing as a helpful bystander to trick and capture Tola after she escapes the more brutish methods of fellow enforcer Sunday Adelekan. Repeatedly proving herself the most level-headed and OnlySaneWoman of Bode's gang, Ms. Happiness keeps her accomplices on task and sees through Tola's efforts to charm them. When confronted by Tola's robotic giant lizard protector, Ms. Happiness busts out her own high tech weaponry to battle Otin before abandoning Bode to the police once he shows his true, selfish colors.

* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: While Tola and Kole are presented strictly as friends (and she's only just turned ten), their ForbiddenFriendship could be ''very'' easily interpreted as Tunde [[DatingWhatDaddyHates not wanting his daughter to date below her social class]]. It doesn't help that Tunde mistakenly accuses Kole of being a GoldDigger who's trying to "take advantage" of Tola.
