(aka the Type-P alien) He has very high health, moves faster than all of the aliens, eats multiple fish at once, and after some time, he goes into a defensive mode where he regains health if you shoot him. He's particularly nasty in Time Trial, since fighting him is such a time-waster, getting Type-P signature fights can easily mess up your run.

** Go ahead, try to play any round without Blip[[labelnote:Explanation]]When active on the tank, Blip will give you information about the fishes' hunger and detects where the next alien would spawn. He will also unlock all purchase option at the start of the stage[[/labelnote]] on your side, especially if you want to play the game legitimately and not exploiting team combinations. He's so useful that his only weakness is that he's [[AwesomeButImpractical detrimental on Challenge mode as it opens all price upon being unlocked on that level, which will always go up indefinitely until you completed the stage.]]
** Similar to Blip, Presto[[labelnote:Explanation]]when active, you can right click Presto to change him into another avaliable pet[[/labelnote]] is useful when you still have 3 pet slot because of being able to turn into any pet you like, allowing you to go into any playstyle you like.
** When it comes for coin collecting, chances are you are going to use support pet like Seymour[[labelnote:Explanation]]When active, items will fall off and fade in much slower[[/labelnote]] or Nimbus[[labelnote:Explanation]]when active, will trying to use[[/labelnote]] to keep all the items at bay and click them yourself rather than using any coin collecting pet, simply because you will get them faster before they could be able to reach it.
** When it comes to defense, you will most likely pick Gumbo and Rufus and keep the enemy below surface; Gun upgrades aren't that expensive in later levels and you will most likely use your gun to keep the enemy on a certain position, in which Rufus would do an easy job with them. Itchy is a CrutchCharacter that doesn't do as much damage later on, while having Gash in the tank means [[AwesomeButImpractical he will eat one of your guppy (including the royal ones)]], Stanley isn't that useful against aliens that isn't using projectiles to attack, and none of them can reposition the enemy alien.

* GameBreaker: The Amp/Angie/Presto combo can give you an enormous sum of money with ease, as you can turn Presto into Shrapnel to create more money easily, then buy a ton of guppies to zap with Amp, then transform Presto into Angie to revive them. Adding Walter into the mix makes it even better, as you can charge Amp up earlier and zap the fish away more often.

to:

* GameBreaker: The Amp/Angie/Presto combo can give GameBreaker:
** Amp, especially in the stage where he is introduced. Your tank is full of fish
you an enormous sum of can't seem to manage properly? Not wanting to farm hard enough for a royal guppy? Just let him zap your entire tank and turn them into diamonds! Combine this with Angie and Walter and you have the ability to turn your entire tank into a stupid money making machine [[VideoGameCrueltyPotential by torturing these fishes to killing and reviving the fishes non stop]], with ease, as you can turn only Bilaterus that possesses an actual threat to this strategy.
** While Blip is a BoringButPractical option for non-challenge runs,
Presto into Shrapnel is just downright STUPID. Being able to create more money easily, then buy a ton of guppies to zap with Amp, then transform Presto into Angie any available pet on demand allows him to revive them. Adding perform the [=Amp/Angie=] combo with only 1 fish while letting you have another two of your choice (Like Blip and Gumbo). There's a reason why he's only available after the final boss.
**
Walter into is an epitome of SupportPartyMember turned to eleven. While positioning him correctly to be efficient can be downright impractical, Walter allows player to use something like Amp and Angie combo fast in succession up to 5 times until the mix makes it even better, as you can charge Amp up earlier and zap the fish away more often.10 second cooldown.

That's all really cool, but his selling point is opening everything in the shop early. This allows you to prepare better for the first alien by buying extra lasers.
* GoddamnedBats: All of the aliens unless you have Blip, since their attacks locations are unpredictableunpredictable.
* SelfImposedChallenge: [[spoiler:In Sandbox Mode, summoning wadsworth, then summoning Ulysses (The Cyclops alien), then summoning a whole bunch of non-guppy fish. The goal is to try to get Ulysses's orbs to kill all of the fish. You can also add to this by putting in Angie.]]
* [[SidetrackedByTheGoldenSaucer Sidetracked By The Virtual Tank]]: Justified, since the shells you get from it can help you buy extra pets for the main game.
** [[spoiler:Sandbox mode might also count.]]
* StopHelpingMe: Blip in challenge mode. He opens everything in the shop early, making everything go up in price early on. This can break the game against your favor.

* TheScrappy: Rhubard, because he's useless.

to:

* TheScrappy: Rhubard, While Rhubarb is this In-Universe, most fans see Nostradomus as this. He produces snot which barely gives you any money, and guppies can eat them and turn into another Nostradomus. He also stops aliens via a [[HellIsThatNoise deafeningly loud sneeze]], which feels more like delaying the inevitable than an actual help.
** People are also not very fond of Gash,
because he's useless.he eats guppies, which includes adult guppies and [[spoiler:''royal guppies.'']]
** Although Blip is an EnsembleDarkhorse, he is bar none the '''WORST''' choice for Challenge mode. By opening the shop early, this also means items start to increase in price early, which hurts a lot in the long run.

** The Type-D alien, AKA Destructor, can be this for first-time players. [[GuideDangIt There's no indication you can shoot the missiles it launches]], and even all the offensive pets plus a max weapon can't kill it before it launches a round of missiles. So you'll be spending a lot of money to replace your fish before you learn how to destroy the missiles.
