* TheScrappy: [[BadassGrandpa Indiana's]] various {{sidekick}}s are often labeled as such.
** Shia [=LaBeouf=] as Mutt. Full stop.

* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: ''Temple of Doom'', along with ''{{Gremlins}}'', which was produced by Spielberg, was dark enough to lead to the creation of the PG-13 rating.

* CriticalDissonance: A different case than usual: Critics generally gave ''Crystal Skull'' good to great reviews, while the fans were the ones that [[FanDumb hated]] [[NostalgiaFilter it]].

Some people say it is total crap, others say it was fun but not up to IndianaJones standards, some liked the acting and characters but not the writing, some liked it all except for the GainaxEnding, Shia [=LeBeouf=] blames himself and his monkey-swinging Tarzan act, and then there are those that hold it as being better than ''Temple of Doom'' but not up to the standards of the "Nazi" movies. Really, it isn't broken so much as ''shattered into thousands of pieces''.

** Untill FridgeLogic kicks in and you realize the camera is showing the bridge from a completely different angle as Indy, making the illusion impossible from Indys direction.

* HilariousInHindsight: From ''Raiders'': [[SnakesOnAPlane There's a huge snake in the plane!]]

* VisualEffectsOfAwesome: That bridge in ''The Last Crusade'', the leap of faith. You don't even ''see'' it until the camera pans and throws it off kilter!

* HarsherInHindsight: Bob Gale and Bob Zemeckis changed their original ending for ''Back to the Future'' due to the sheer implausability of Marty McFly surviving a nuclear blast in a fridge-time machine, thinking that the audience would think it utterly ridiculous and would break their movie. 20 years later, apparently that unpolished script was still in Speilberg's desk (he was the executive producer of that movie), and he seems to have just run with it...
