* FridgeBrilliance:
** In the ''Rorscach & Deadpool'' Buddy Cop parody, the pair are on the trail of a mysterious crime figure named Joe Palachi, who turns out to be [[spoiler:ComicBook/TheJoker, and more specifically the humorless 80's one from Creator/FrankMiller's ''ComicBook/BatmanTheDarkKnightReturns'']]. There are about three layers of brilliance to this, one of which Joe himself admitted to being the reason he picked it:
** Firstly, Palachi, whilst being a sort-of common Italian surname, is also a reference to the opera ''Pagliacci'', and the lead character of the same name (it is sometimes called ''Palachi's Opera''). That was a subtle clue as to Joe Palachi's true identity.
** Secondly, this is a ''Comicbook/{{Watchmen}}'' reference and specifically a Rorschach reference, since in the comic Rorschach tells someone about a joke he heard about Pagliacci.
** And third, the joke is about [[spoiler:how the great clown Pagliacci is utterly depressed and miserable because he has come to view the planet as a CrapsackWorld]], which perfectly reflects the fact that [[spoiler:ComicBook/TheJoker pretending to be Joe Palachi is the most serious, unfunny Joker ever put to print- turned UpToEleven when it turns out {{ComicBook/Darkseid}} has brainwashed him with the Anti-Life Equation which makes him ''really'' believe this]]:
-->"Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life is harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor... I am Pagliacci.""
** Another example is just in the pairing of those two Deadpool is a walking Satire/Parody of comic books antiheroes/anti-villains , whilst Rorschach is a Deconstruction of the AntiHero[=/=]Anti-villains.

** The cutesy song about Disney forcing all the Marvels to act LighterAndSofter provides a rather amusing contrast with how much DarkerAndEdgier the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse became after Disney bought distribution rights to their movies (eg, ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier'') and shows (eg, ''Series/JessicaJones2015''). The song also includes a line about trapping Deadpool in the Disney Vault, which sounds ironic now when Deadpool made his first speaking TV appearance on [[WesternAnimation/UltimateSpiderMan a cartoon that aired on a Disney-owned channel.]]

*** Speaking of, [=RandomGuy=] made a parody of ''The Avengers'' by replacing the characters with the Justice League. Sure enough, Creator/JossWhedon took over rewrites and reshoots for ''Film/JusticeLeague''.

** The plotline of season two has the Joker attempting to make all the universes DarkerAndEdgier [[FollowTheLeader in the wake of]] ''Film/TheDarkKnight'', which gets criticized because people would get uninterested with all of the heroes being too dark. This ended up being prophetic when Warner Bros. initially pushed the DCExtendedUniverse to be much darker than previous DC films as well as its rivals in the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse, with [[Film/ManOfSteel their]] [[Film/BatmanVSupermanDawnOfJustice early]] [[Film/SuicideSquad films]] getting scathing reviews for the heroes being too dark and harder to root for.
