Prior to the plot, Drago came to a chieftain's meeting and offered to drive away the dragons if they would kneel to him. He then proceeds to raze Berk with his newfound army, taking no prisoners. He then tries to raze Berk to the ground. He's so awful that he manages to make the Red Death, a dragon who used similar intimidation tactics in the previous movie, look mild by comparison.

* UnfortunateImplications: The entire cast of voice actors for Berk are all white. The voice actor for Drago Bludvist? Djimon Honsou, an African man. The animators did not go so far as to make Drago a black man, but he was coded as such: black dreadlocks, savage mien, hateful and destructive FreudianExcuse, and ''visibly colored darker'' than every other character in the film.
