* TheScrappy: Despite most audience members agreeing Creator/SaoirseRonan still turned in a good performance, Daisy as a character has been heavily criticized by audience members for her [[AlphaBitch incredibly bitchy attitude]] and [[LadySwearsALot foul mouth]] that extends [[JerkWithAHeartOfJerk even towards her youngest cousins]], grating [[{{Wangst}} wangsty]] narration, and most of all, [[KissingCousins her incestuous relationship with her own cousin]]. Not helped ''at all'' by the fact this serves as her primary motivation for making her way back home amidst the apocalypse [[SkewedPriorities rather than ensuring the children's safety]], which makes her come across as selfish AND creepy.

* NeverLiveItDown: The majority of the comments on this film's Website/{{Letterboxd}} revolve around Daisy [[KissingCousins having a romantic and sexual relationship with her own cousin]], not helped by the fact that, even disregarding them being related, [[StrangledByTheRedString their relationship is incredibly forced]] and at times seems to take higher priority to Daisy over the children.

* RetroactiveRecognition: Nowadays, Daisy's nerdy cousin Isaac will look awfully familiar to many a mainstream viewer wanting to catch up with the film, as he was played by Creator/TomHolland, just three years before he started playing Franchise/SpiderMan in the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse.
