!! Assorted character [=YMMVs=]
Nathan Petrelli

* MagnificentBastard: Most impressive in Season 1. He certainly tries in Volume 3 & 4, but it almost gets him killed. Repeatedly.

Claire Bennt
* IronWoobie - Aided in no small part by her powers, Claire never gave up despite all the pain and suffering the world heaped on her.
* {{Wangst}} - Boy, she was bad about this for a long time during Volume one.

Noah Bennet
* EnsembleDarkhorse - See AscendedExtra above.
* MagnificentBastard
* TheWoobie

Michah Sanders
* ToyShip

Matt Parkman
* HoYay: With Mohinder

Mohinder Suresh
* MoralEventHorizon - To paraphrase Zach "Sylar" Quinto, it's hard to turn back once you actually start ''eating'' people... although it turns out they're still alive, and he was just... we don't even know.
* YouFailBiologyForever - Yeah, yeah we know this is a series with people who fly and people who talk to machines. But every time Mohinder opens his mouth, you can hear Tim Kring's high school science teacher weeping quietly.

Sylar

* CompleteMonster - After an [[HeelFaceTurn attempt at rehabilitation]] this guy seems to be doing getting worse. Such as [[spoiler: siding against his own kind [[PsychoForHire Danko]], killing Nathan Petrelli and then deciding to basically MindRape Matt Parkman]]. Seriously is there anyway this guy could get worse.

* FoeYay - [[YourMilageMayVary Depending on who you ask]] with Mohinder, Peter, Bennet, Danko, or ''Claire!'' Elle counts as canon foeyay.
* HoYay - with Peter, see also FoeYay.
** Sure, Peter. But so much more with Mohinder.
* JerkassWoobie
* MagnificentBastard
* MemeticMolester - Whether they want to or not, Sylar has sexual tension with everyone. ''Everyone''.
* MotiveDecay
* VillainSue: Became an unstoppable, unflappable and unbeatable writer's pet around the time of Season 2. This becomes annoyingly {{egregious}} around Seasons 4 and ''especially'' 5.
** To be fair to the writers, he only turned out as such because fans loved him so much that they preserved him long after he was needed or wanted.

Daniel Linderman
* MagnificentBastard

Elle Bishop
* FoeYay: With Claire
* JerkassWoobie

Adam Munroe
* FoeYay - with Hiro or Peter.
* MagnificentBastard
* VillainDecay - In the space of one and a half episodes, he's bumped down from Ancient Evil BigBad back to comic relief to KilledOffForReal by the EvilerThanThou new BigBad.
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds - The way he wanted to save the world by purging mankind was fueled by his heartbreak over Yaeko.

Angela Petrelli
* MagnificentBastard - The shellfish-smacking scene where Danko is questioning her and [[BlatantLies she's totally shitting him.]]
* MoralEventHorizon - [[spoiler:Feeding an innocent woman to Sylar just so to get on his good side.]]

Arthur Petrelli
* BetterThanCanon - In a less outward way because he explicitly shipped Elle/Sylar by locking them in a room together where she could torture him to his pleasure. Then grounds Peter so that he needs to stop playing with the IdiotBall, takes the resident MadScientist and gives him other people to experiement on... gave to good reason to get rid of Maya and her anthrax tears. He's not really that bad a guy, though YourMileageMayVary.
* BoringInvincibleVillain: Arthur Petrelli, after stealing Peter's powers (made even worse by the fact he barely ever used them, effectively becoming the boring invincible villain [[ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything who never did anything]]).
* CompleteMonster
* MemeticMolester
* ReplacementScrappy - for Adam Monroe
* VillainSue

Eric Doyle
* MemeticMolester - only... it's canon.

Emile Danko
* CompleteMonster - Denied a prisoner (Daphne) medical treatment for no good reason, leading to her slow lingering death. Wants to kill all evolved humans because they creep him out. [[PerpetualFrowner And he's not even having much fun doing it, either.]] Hell, he even had an unarmed child (Micah) killed in cold blood. [[SuicidalGotcha Or at least thought he did]].

Samuel Sullivan
* CrazyAwesome
* TheScrappy: Perhaps the least liked villan on the show. Has the highest ratio of episodes/lack of intrest
** Not a chance. [[BoringInvincibleVillain Arthur]] [[OrcusOnHisThrone Petrelli]] is ''definitely'' the show's {{Scrappy}} villain, as boring as Samuel's plotline got.

Alejandro and Maya Herrera
* AlasPoorScrappy - Alejandro
* DamselScrappy - Maya
* TheScrappy
* TheWesley - Maya by Volume Three

Claude Rains

Hana Gitelman
* EnsembleDarkhorse - seen in only a couple of scenes on the show but has a couple of storylines in the Graphic Novels.

Daphne Millbrook
* StrangledByTheRedString - And ''how''. Even she realizes it! [[spoiler:and then she dies.]]

Sparrow Redhouse
* EnsembleDarkHorse: Before she became a major part of the Graphic Novels Rebel story arc she'd only had one brief appearance yet she was still a character fans wanted to see more of.

Rachel Mills
* Main/EnsembleDarkhorse

Emma Coolidge
* EnsembleDarkhorse: The fans ''love'' her.
* ShipTease: With Peter.

Bob Bishop
* MoralEventHorizon: [[spoiler:We learn he subjected Elle, ''his own daughter'', to so much ElectricTorture she snapped and went AxeCrazy. When she was ''seven years old''.]]

Tracy Strauss
* MagnificentBastard

Samson Gray
* AlasPoorVillain

Knox
* UnfortunateImplications - His power is that he's a ScaryBlackMan who gets stronger proportionally to his scariness. They already had the SuperStrength power on the show, they just added the "fear" aspect for him.

Stephen Canfield
* TheWoobie

Edgar
* IronWoobie: See above.
