Falls under Fix Fic, not Authors Saving Throw. The latter would imply that the fanfic writer made the mistake in the first place

* AuthorsSavingThrow: A minor variant. In the original ''WesternAnimation/{{The Hunchback of Notre Dame|Disney}}'', Quasimodo defends the cathedral by surrounding it with a moat of liquid copper. The copper stays around long enough for Frollo to fall into it [[IronicDeath right after he declared that God will "plunge (the wicked) into the fiery pit"]], but inexplicably vanishes by sunrise in time for Quasimodo and his friends to leave the cathedral. To resolve this small inconsistency, here, Quasi doesn't surround the cathedral with liquid copper at all, and the "fiery pit" Frollo falls into is [[KarmicDeath the same wooden stake he attempted to burn Gothel and Rapunzel on beforehand]].

* NightmareFuel: Frollo. [[KnightTemplar Just...]] [[AxCrazy Fro]][[{{Hypocrite}} llo]]. Already one of Disney's darkest villains, ''Heaven's Light'' doesn't treat him any better. Apart from [[YouKilledMyFather murdering Quasimodo's mother]] and basically enslaving and abusing the boy for years, and [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain planning on purging Corona of those he considers sinful]], here, he plans on [[TheUsurper overthrowing his own superiors, King Henri and Queen Susanne themselves]] and enslaving their daughter so he can use her [[FountainOfYouth magic hair]] to [[ImmortalitySeeker gain immortality]] and [[ImmortalityImmorality be the tyrant of Corona forever]]. When you can make Mother Gothel, a known child-kidnapper, look good, you know you're a CompleteMonster.

Added DiffLines:

* DracoInLeatherPants: Mother Gothel ultimately comes to love Rapunzel for herself instead of just her hair and [[spoiler: sacrifices herself to save Rapunzel from Frollo.]] For a reminder that Gothel is a "Draco", read the HarsherInHindsight entry. That said, she's a much more sympathetic character than [[KnightTemplar Frollo]].

Added DiffLines:

* TheWoobie: Quasimodo and Rapunzel, as per canon. Separated from their parents at an early age, brought up in isolation from the world, and left with deep-rooted psychological problems.
** Also, King Henri and Queen Susanne.
