Unnecessary reviewer references.

-->'''WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic:''' I guess they figured the world of marketing research would be a lot more fascinating to kids than a talking pig.

* NightmareFuel: “Goodbye, Hero Pig!” Complete with PsychoticSmirk.
** Also any of the scenes set in the stockyards and slaughterhouse with Gordy's family in peril, might make you think twice about eating Pork.

"Idiot Plot" is now Flame Bait. Renamed one trope.

* IdiotPlot:
** A lot of the plot surrounding the ability of the humans being able to talk to Gordy relies on this, but even more egregious is the entire scenario that the nation's adoration of one pig is enough to propel him as the CEO of a major American corporation, and that the slaughterhouse processing Gordy's family would wait just long enough for Gordy and his new friends to come to their rescue until the most convenient timing imaginable.
** Or the fact that the camera crew somehow ''completely'' misses the fact that a wide-angle lens had been used to film Jessica with less than desirable results and that nobody called this into question until ''after'' the public had gazed upon her and Gordy's test shoots, propelling Gordy into one of the top jobs at the corporation.
** Don't forget the scenario of a respected industrialist [[CaligulasHorse leaving his entire fortune to a pig.]]
** Or the fact that the one human family Gordy comes across also just happens to own the slaughterhouse where his parents and siblings were sent.

* SpecialEffectsFailure: Unfortunately, the mouthing effects (If any) on Gordy and the other animals don't compare to those seen in ''Film/{{Babe}}''.

Uncanny Valley is IUEO now and the subjective version has been split; cleaning up misuse and ZCE in the process

* UncannyValley: The bizarre montage with Mr. Sipes pondering the sabotaged test footage of Gordy being distributed nationwide via [[ProductPlacement Federal Express]], all while smiling smugly at the camera with a strange, hazy yellow aura around him.

* WhatAnIdiot:
** Not just Mr. Sipes for not simply thinking to kill Gordy earlier, but also his two henchmen Dietz and Krugman for making up the story that they were forced to snatch both Gordy and Hanky when the two manage to elude them before either can do anything. They could've simply said they had not caught Gordy yet, but instead suggested that they were forced to harm Hanky, which would've landed everybody in hot water.
** Hanky himself for sitting off the edge of a diving board when he cannot swim.
** Henry Royce leaving his entire fortune to Gordy upon his death. It's just the sort of thing to make us wonder if he's as coherent as he presented himself to be up to that point.

* {{Narm}}: The bewildering plot is practically made of this; Possibly crosses into being NarmCharm as the fact that it is being played totally seriously all throughout makes it all the more unintentionally funny.
* MoralEventHorizon: Dietz and Krugman cross it when they tie Gordy in a sack and attempt to throw him in a dried out riverbed. And then there's Mr. Sipes for ordering them to do so, on top of manipulating Jessica in order to seize her family's enterprise.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Henry Royce certainly comes across as this; While he may be a CoolOldGuy, he is shockingly unfazed by his daughter's public humiliation when the test shoots don't turn out as hoped, announcing Gordy's victory even as she's crying her eyes out right in front of him. Perhaps the most egregious case however comes after he suddenly dies of a heart attack, leaving his entire company not to his own daughter or any living relative, ''but to Gordy as his named successor''. Villainous as he may be, Mr. Sipes' disbelief at this is perfectly reasonable.

----

* AngstWhatAngst: Played with; Gordy is determined to find his family before the worst can happen to them.......But that still isn't enough to stop him from becoming a national hero and then [[ItMakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext becoming the head of a major multi-million dollar corporation along the way]].
