** The Mad Midget Five. They're a lot easier than the other bosses in the game, even ones before them. Interestingly, this may have been [[InvokedTrope done on purpose]]; they scream in a comical fashion when hit with a strong enough attack, they all have high-pitched voices, and their unique stun attack lodges them in the floor (which is really entertaining). In short, they're really fun to beat on. Also, they show up again later in the game, between some actually challenging bosses.

Added DiffLines:

* {{Lethal Joke Character}}s: The Mad Midget five have a really goofy introduction and are quite silly in general, but keeping track of five fast enemies that can stun you almost instantly can be really difficult if you haven't gotten used to crowd control.

Ahahaha no. Not even. Those attacks aren't nearly telegraphed enough for the area and range they hit.

Several sub-stages like the second pass through Shannon's Dance Party (which has only two mooks), and the immediately following Puppy Kingdom (which has literally no enemies and a ton of crates to smash for items) in Stage 3, while Stage 4 has Kissing a Hot Chick, which is little more than a puzzle where you have to [[spoiler:chuck crates at four enemies who die in one hit that are tormenting a villager you can't get to directly]]. Other than that, there are only two enemies you fight head on (one of which can be baited from the other with a thrown object) and plenty of stuff to break if you're hurting for health or Orbs. The titular hot chick is also a guaranteed Tension boost, making it a tempting room to SaveScum for items to recover if you need to.

** Dr. Ion is noticeably simpler than the rest of the bosses in the game, telegraphing every attack and failing to block. InUniverse, everyone notes that Dr. Ion is worthless before and after the fight, and he really just serves as an easier boss before [[MirrorMatch Azel]] at the end of Stage 4.

It also doubles as a better 3D version of ''VideoGame/FinalFight'' than either of the actual 3D ''Final Fight'' games (one which was a competitive fighting game, and other a GTA-clone).

* RatedMForMoney / RatedMForManly: The game was rated M by the ESRB, but those who've actually played the game will certainly be puzzled as to why. The back of the box states the reasons to be blood & gore, language, suggestive themes, and violence. The only instance of any blood or dismemberment in the game is when Gene gets his arm cut off, and even then, it's blocked by a GoryDiscretionShot. The game has minimal swearing, and nothing ''too'' bad in terms of language. The violence and suggestive themes are definitely there, but nothing in the game couldn't have easily been in a T rated game.

Just cause *you* can\'t combo the midgets doesn\'t mean it can\'t be done. Personally, I tend to take each one down with a single, long combo apiece. And Angra being able to hit you anywhere is irrelevant when his attacks are just as telegraphed and dodgable as Dr. Ion\'s. There\'s a reason these things are in YMMV you know. They\'re opinion tropes and they vary; yours don\'t override anyone elses.

** WhatCouldHaveBeen: That being said, Gene ''was'' considered for ''[[VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3 Marvel vs. Capcom 3]]'', but was ultimately removed from the lineup in favor of Ammy. ** Ravel is a DreadfulMusician with a very damaging long range combo, but with the lowest health of any boss and an exceedingly easy to dodge knockback move, the fight is pretty much over the second you manage to get in melee range. The rematch is only slightly harder because you have to learn the moves Debussy, an equally long-ranged fighter, but a God Hand release and adequate pressure can knock them down without even letting them fight back.
