* ViewerGenderConfusion: Most fans thought Nermal was a girl because of [[CrossDressingVoices his feminine voice]] and there is absolutely nothing boyish about him...and he has [[TertiarySexualCharacteristics eye-lashes]]. Most of the people who knew he was a guy only knew because he was frequently referred to as a guy in the comics.

* HoYay: Roy and Wade have plenty of {{Tsundere}} moments with each other. Their biggest example would have to be the Snow Wade two parter, with not only Wade as Snow White, but Roy as the prince. When Roy realizes he has to kiss Wade in order to revive him from being poisoned, he refused to do so and leaves. Orson unwillingly becomes the new prince, but his attempts to kiss Wade awake fail. Eventually Roy comes back, [[Main/TrueLovesKiss and]] ''[[Main/TrueLovesKiss his]]'' [[Main/TrueLovesKiss kiss wakes Wade up]]. Granted, [[Main/OnlyInItForTheMoney Roy only came back so he could become rich via marrying Snow Wade]], but when Wade is revived, he is happy to let Roy have his hand in marriage.

** Although both games came out around the same time, "Garfield's Defense" and [[Ride/DisneyThemeParks Disney World]]'s interactive card game, [[TabletopGame/SorcerersOfTheMagicKingdom Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom]] have some amusing similarities. In "Snow Wade and the 77 Dwarves", Snow Wade's dress,[[HairDecoration red bow]] and black hair was similar to the Disney version. In the now iPod/iPhone/iPad game "Garfield's Defense" the ComicStrip/USAcres characters help Garfield fight the enemies. Wade's weapon to fight off the enemies is a broom. In "Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom", Snow White has a spell card to attack the enemies, "Snow White’s Housecleaning". What weapon is she holding/using? A broom.

** Probably the most famous of these is a line in the opening that was swiftly (ab)used in WebAnimation/YouTubePoop:
--> [[VideoGame/HotelMario "I hope you made lots of spaghetti!"]]
*** Wade then says "I'm scared!" '''''HE KNEW!'''''
*** This example was parodied in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQ_-RH3iBL4 this YouTube Poop]].

** The above Anvil reaches (falls on?) its apex in "Big Bad Buddy Bird," a U.S. Acres segment. Roy quits the cartoon because he's sick of being treated badly, and his agent books him on the Buddy Bears, who promise that they only do things that are "educational and uplifting." Roy is cast as the title character, who disagrees with the group and ends up getting pummeled with sixteen-ton safes as punishment. Toward the end of the episode, he presses himself against the camera and makes an impassioned speech about resisting groupthink; it's especially effective because the Buddy Bears are a ShowWithinAShow, so it's as though Roy is actually talking to the ''real'' viewing audience.
--->'''Roy''': Kids, don't listen to any of this, these bears are dangerous. You should have opinions of your own! You should think and decide and not do what everyone else does! Use your own mind--don't do what your friends do just because they're doing it, HAVE A BRAIN OF YOUR OWN! LET GO OF ME! THE GROUP ISN'T ALWAYS RIGHT!
*** FridgeBrilliance kicks in when you listen closely to the episode; the Buddy Bears and Roy use the phrase "what happens if you don't go along with the gang" twice. It's a thinly-veiled TakeThat against ''WesternAnimation/TheGetAlongGang'', which ''epitomized'' TheComplainerIsAlwaysWrong and endlessly preached that agreeing with everyone was the only way to have friends.

* CounterpartComparison: Aloysius Pig is pink and wears a bowtie, hat and a jacket that exposes his skin, talks in a funny-sounding accented voice and sings a song about himself, just like [[WesternAnimation/InsideOut Bing Bong]]. Ironically, one of the actors originally considered for the role of Bing Bong was Kevin Meaney, Aloysius' voice actor!

* CounterpartComparison: Both Roy and Wade, plus Rei and Usagi from ''Anime/SailorMoon'' seem to have some similarities. Both duos are [[VitriolicBestBuds friends who fight with each other but care about each other]]. Sometimes they fight, other times they act like friends and got more closer as the episodes went on. In episode "Goody-Go-Round", Wade manages to pull a prank on Roy by giving him really hot gum and fire came out of Roy's mouth. In episode 51 of Sailor Moon (the Japanese version only) Usagi pulls the same prank on Rei except with a sandwich with really hot mustard and fire also came out of Rei's mouth. Orson can even be considered Ami's counterpart since they're both calm [[BookWorm Bookworms]] that had to get their two friends to stop fighting.
** The U.S.Acres and [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic My Little Pony: Friendship is magic]] characters seem to have some similarities in personalities. Both Orson and Twilight Sparkle [[BookWorm Bookworms]] leader types who makes mistakes now and then. Roy and Rainbow Dash are both [[AntiHero AntiHeros]] who are full of themselves but help their friends in anyway they can. Wade and Fluttershy are both good-hearted [[LovableCoward cowards]] who helps save their friends when they need to. Lanolin is a mix of Apple Jack and Rarity. Both she and Apple Jack are both tough, hard working farm girls and Rarity seems to have more in common with the "imaginary Lanolin" in Orson's fantasies. And both Bo and Pinkie Pie are very friendly and want people to be happy(Pinkie Pie is also like Bo's comic strip counterpart as well).
** Roy and Wade, and Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy as duos seem to have some similarities with their friendships. Both duos seemed/implied to have knew each other in their younger years before they joined the main cast. And over time in both series, both, duo's friendships developed and became closer friends.

** After Kevin Meaney's death, the end of "Kiddie Korner" became this. The last thing Kevin Meaney tweeted was "Some last minute advice for Hilary: Light your hair on fire! Be crazy and tell him he's fired! Hit him in the face with a pie!". [[spoiler: Aloysius' last line in U.S. Acres ever was "Are those pies"?, and he winds up getting hit by pies.]]

** There was a weasel who sounds and acts like the one in the US Acres segments in the ''WesternAnimation/TheMagicAdventuresOfMumfie'' episode "Pop Goes The Weasel". The same episode also contains a RakeTake similar to the one in "Wanted: Wade".
