** It also made a pretty interesting storyline/scene when he was daydreaming about being able to get up and dance, in the episode "Dream On". If the casting director had cast an actor who was actually handicapped, one can only imagine how that dance dream sequence would have gone.

** Blaine shooting down Kurt's solo audition, and to a greater extent trying to squash his entire attitude in "Special Education" and then singing lead on the entire Sectionals number casts him in a much less sympathetic light than previous episodes.

** Blaine shooting down Kurt's solo audition, and to a greater extent trying to squash his entire attitude in "Special Education" and then singing lead on the entire Sectionals number casts him in a much less sympathetic light than previous episodes. There's a theory held by quite a few fans that Blaine represses himself severely at Dalton because he'd have nowhere else to go, and lets out his more fun side around Kurt - which is possibly an indication that he needs Kurt as badly as Kurt needs ''him''.

** In the second episode, Puck says of Santana's Cheerios uniform skirt: "It's so high I can see her ''ovaries''". ** It's possible Santana wasn't wearing her bloomers (the panty-like things that are the same colour as the skirt and are worn over regular underwear), but assuming she was, Puck couldn't have seen anything taboo no matter how high her skirt was.

** The majority of the girls in the Jane Addams halfway house are black.
** YourMileageMayVary on whether the non-white characters have been developed beyond stereotypes about their respective races: the quiet, demure Asian girl (at least, she was in Season 1); Asian teens going on dates with their parents; the promiscuous SpicyLatina; the big-voiced SassyBlackWoman, etc.
** Choosing an able-bodied actor to play Artie. Of course, his dream sequence in "Dream On" would not have been possible if Kevin [=McHale=] shared his character's disability, but "crip drag" is still a sensitive issue for many differently-abled people.
** Several things about Rachel's gay dads:
*** When Rachel needed an outfit for the Lady Gaga performance, her dads did a horrible job. However, she goes to Shelby Corcoran saying "I need a mom" and she does a flawless job. Yeah, because only women know how to sew outfits - and all women are great at it!
*** The discovery that Shelby Corcoran is Rachel's biological mother takes up a multi-episode arc, but Rachel's two fathers haven't been seen on the show at all except as a picture in her locker.
*** Just the fact that having two fathers means that a kid would be a spoiled diva and would be obsessed with musical theater.
** The way Will reacted to the news that Terri faked her pregnancy bordered on domestic violence for some viewers. YourMileageMayVary on whether this makes Terri deserving of sympathy.
** Kurt's behavior in "Grilled Cheesus" was treated as unreasonable, but was it, really? It would be one thing to tell friends they're not allowed to pray, but they went beyond praying - they made a big show of being religious in his dad's waiting room, despite the fact that no one except Carol, Finn and maybe Mercedes actually knew Burt. Also, Mercedes wouldn't accept Kurt's atheism until he went to church with her, but Kurt is supposed to be the intolerant one? No wonder some atheists [[http://pandagon.net/index.php/site/comments/goodbye_to_glee/ got really pissed off]].
** Some people were angry that the episode "Home" had Mercedes develop an eating disorder and then it was instantly "cured" by Quinn giving her a granola bar and telling her she's beautiful. Of course, {{YMMV}} on whether she actually had a full-blown eating disorder or was simply on the road to developing one if she kept up her unhealthy habits.
