As I understand it, we\'re trying to get rid of Fetish Fuel in general because it basically amounts to just lists and lists of random things that turns on at least one troper. Which means every element of every character of the show will be listed at some point.

* FetishFuel: Loaded with it.
** The third movie. First, Leela gets a shock collar that shocks her every time she thinks about violent, profane, or perverse. Naturally, she gets shocked several times, and at one point winds up writhing on the ground, which can turn some people on. Later, however, she starts to associate the shock with the wonderful feeling of violence, and [[TooKinkyToTorture starts sighing and moaning when she gets shocked.]] Then they go to the fantasy world, and it's downhill from there.
---> "Oh good Lord! I'm [[OurCentaursAreDifferent half horse]] and half naked!"
** The second movie was worse, a monster from the other side of the anomaly with NaughtyTentacles.
** All four movies seems to have at least one of these. The first has the nude beach planet and the fourth has [[GirlsBehindBars a large group of female characters that are put in prison]], in the same cell, where they're encouraged to haze new inmates, and less beds then there are cell mates. One scene opens with Amy waking up in between two other women; fully clothed, but the fan tease is clear.
** "Amazon Women In The Mood": a planet of all giant women in fur bikinis, who want to have "snu snu", aka ([[{{Understatement}} rough sex]]) with men.
** [[InvokedTrope Having loads]] of robot {{Lucy Liu}}s.
-->'''Bender''': We didn't count on them being as smart as they were sexy!\\
'''Lucy Liu''': A ''dangerous'' mistake to make.
** When Leela's [[ChainedToARock chained to a post]] (voluntarily, in this case) as a "virgin" sacrifice. One of the mutants rips her shirt to complete the scenario he's aiming at.
** And then there's the second 2010 episode, which is just... egads. Leela in nothing but ''Eve leaves'' is just the start of it. (Notice how many of these involve [[MsFanservice Leela]]?)
** In "When Aliens Attack," Leela is seen briefly in a DOOP military uniform, and that's ... that's pretty cool.
** Wow, we get this far down and never once mention Edna?

** Following on from above, for a show set a thousand years in the future Futurama gets a lot of mileage from "men are horny slobs and women are frivolous and shrewish" humor. This has been evident right up to season 6's '''Neutopia'''. It seems governed by RuleOfFunny rather than outright chauvinism, but it's [[DeadHorseTrope depressing that the creators seem to find these concepts endlessly hilarious]].

Zoidberg is a main character, and Zapp Brannigan is a prominent recurring character, so neither are eligible for Ensemble Darkhorse. God Mode Sue is when a character is a Mary Sue that is ridiculously overpowered—not a ridiculously tough, but flawed and generally complex character.

** Zoidberg & Zapp Branigan.

* GodModeSue: Depending on whether the plot calls for it, Leela can quite often appear to be one of these. This was actually parodied quite early on however in "Bender Gets Made," when she declares that she can still beat up the evil gangsters despite being temporarily blinded... and promptly kicks the crap out of Fry instead. Judging by the reaction to "A Leela Of Her Own" and the early segments of ''Bender's Game'' where she has anger management problems, it seems that many fans actually '''prefer''' Leela to be shown as a GodModeSue.

* FridgeHorror: Probably the majority of episodes in one way or another. The Late Phillip J. Fry is a pretty solid example, where Fry, Farnsworth, and Bender warp forward in time so much that they watch the universe collapse, start over, collapse again, start over again, and then stop where they "left off", except everyone from universe 0 goes the rest of their lives without seeing the three of them ever again. Also, the Fry, Farnsworth, and Bender from Universe 2 get killed so the ones from Universe 0 can take their place, and that kind of thing happens all the time.

** The series has a number of particularly extreme examples in which complicated jokes (possibly made in a fictional language) are hidden in the background and can only be seen for a split-second, requiring a very devoted fan to pause and get the absolute most out of episodes.
** Everything's playing at the [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleph_number Aleph-Null-Plex]]!
* HarsherInHindsight: In ''The Beast With A Billion Backs'', Fry's polygamous girlfriend, Colleen, joins him when everyone goes to Heaven with Yivo. Not so easy to watch now when you realize that the voice of Colleen is [[spoiler: Brittany Murphy, in her final voiceover role [excluding her usual role as Luanne Platter on ''KingOfTheHill''] before her sudden death in 2009]].
* HilariousInHindsight:
** The unnamed couple's clear, plastic tarps with strategically-placed black tape from the first episode ("Space Pilot 3000"), the futuristic club clothes everyone wears at The Hip Joint on "Love Labor's Lost in Space" and Leela's costume on "Bend Her" can now be identified as something from [[LadyGaga Lady Gaga]]'s wardrobe.
** The CouchGag from the final original series episode? [[UnCancelled "See you on]] [[ChannelHop some other channel."]] Doubly hilarious, considering that ''Futurama'' made two Channel Hops -- once from FOX to Cartoon Network (even though CN just aired reruns) and again from CN to Comedy Central (on Comedy Central, not only were the reruns aired, but also the made-for-DVD movies and some new episodes made exclusively for Comedy Central).
** In "Luck of the Fryrish", Fry's dad, voiced by John DiMaggio, says "Well you better keep your brother away from these bananas. Gonna need em when the radiation turns us all into Monkeys". He went on to voice BoBo in GeneratorRex; a genetically mutated Monkey after a cataclysmic event.
* JerkassWoobie: Bender has shades of this in "Lethal Inspection". Despite his acting like a jerk for most of the episode, his breakdown at the end is still strangely moving.

* MissedMomentOfAwesome: Morbo's people never DID invade Earth. Not YET, anyway! MWUAHAHAHA!
* NeverLiveItDown: Leela's one night stand with Zapp. Mostly because he references it every single time they share a scene.
** And of course, this says a lot more about [[TheLeisureSuitLarry his sex life]] than about ''hers''.
* PlayerPunch: (of a sort) The "Jurassic Bark" episode will have you hating Bender until the end, only to be punched ''again'' during the end credits [[TheReveal reveal]].
** Many episodes would begin with Farnsworth telling the crew they were going to a PlanetOfHats ("Tomorrow you'll be making a delivery").
* {{Squick}}: The crunchy noises when the crew (frequently) get [[AmusingInjuries injured]]. Also, the splatty noises in the shower scene mentioned above.
** Don't forget [[spoiler:[[IncestIsRelative Fry being his own grandfather]]]].
** '''BONE-ITIS'''
** If you listen to the DVDCommentary on ''Bender's Big Score'', that even disgusted the scammer aliens.
** Taken to BeyondTheImpossible levels in "A Prisoner of Benda". [[spoiler:Leela and Fry have sex... in the bodies of ''the Professor and Zoidberg'', respectively.]] The sound Fry makes when he first sees Leela [[spoiler:in Farnsworth's body]] mirrors the popular reaction to this scene quite well.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Bender is a milder example of this.
* TearJerker:
** The endings of "Leela's Homeworld", "Jurassic Bark" and "Luck of the Fryrish", all helped by the MedleyExit.
** Also, "Time Keeps On Slippin'" and ''Bender's Big Score''.
** The end of "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings".
** ''Into the Wild Green Yonder'', mostly due to ending the GrandFinale with a BittersweetEnding / CliffHanger.
** "The Sting", which was potent enough to spawn [[http://www.atomicraygunattack.com/website/mp3s/thesting/ an album]] from a band that were fans of the show, populated largely by TearJerker songs.
** "Robots don't go to heaven."
** From "The Late Philip J. Fry":
---> '''Leela:''' [[spoiler: My whole life I have been mad at him, and it wasn't his fault.]]
** And a couple minutes later in the same episode, [[spoiler:Dear Fry, Our time together was short but it was the best of my life]]-Leela
** There's one in "A Prisoner of Benda" involving Scruffy and a Washbucket.
* UnfortunateImplications:
** You might think that "Proposition Infinity" that the real opponents to the {{robosexual}}s (and not the Professor with his personal grudge) may have been right. From the examples we've seen in the show, [[spoiler: Fry & robot!Lucy Liu, Bender & Lucy Liu, Bender & Amy, Leela & robot!Fry, Professor & Unit]], Humans and Robots have very different expectations when it comes to relationships and all end up failing. [[WellIntentionedExtremist Maybe this marriage ban was just society's safeguard]] so no one would accidently cause an army of Lucy Liu robots to run amok. Also, it's previously been said that civilization fell apart when love-bots were first around, as no-one needed to impress the opposite sex (or their own, depending.)
** Also in "Proposition Infinity," when Bender is naming off the types of couples who have rights (man and woman, fembot and robot, man and man, interracial, intergalactic, and ghost and horse), they leave off [[LesYay woman and woman]], basically saying that two women who love each other is unheard-of (unless it's part of that cliched "GirlOnGirlIsHot" heterosexual male fantasy).
*** Well, you can argue that it's covered under 'man and man'. Alternatively, you can get a good FridgeLogic joke out of the idea that it's so [[GirlOnGirlIsHot widely supported]] that it's not a controversial issue in the least.
** The problem with looking at robot/human relationships in the series is that so many of them involve ''Bender'', who's pretty much incapable of having a healthy relationship with anybody, including other Robots. He's a special case, like Hedonism-Bot and Jambi. Fry and Lucy Liu-Bot didn't fail, she loved him so much she sacrificed herself for him. Robot Fry thought he was a human, and his relationship with Robot Leela was fine until the real Leela woke up. Those two showed that a Robosexual relationship can work. As for the downfall of civilization, that was from a ScareEmStraight TV special. It's about the same level as saying that [[DrugsAreBad a single beer will make you an alcoholic.]]
** Some of Nibbler's actions under his guise as [[SmallAnnoyingCreature Leela's brainless pet]] that were justified by him being too simple an animal to know better (eg. eating an entire preservation of animals and thus dooming an entire planets worth of species, stealing a Christmas dinner from a starving orphan, ''literally'' biting Bender's shiny metal ass) [[WhatTheHellHero come off as rather callous under the consideration they were all part of a very deliberate charade]] (especially since his CharacterDevelopment was planned from the very beginning so is not a case of CharacterizationMarchesOn ). Nibbler either comes off a Jerkass using his new identity to abuse his owners or [[BecomingTheMask is taking his act a bit too seriously]].
** The entire episode ''Bend Her''. No, it's not that the episode is saying [[RefugeInAudacity M-to-F transsexuals get operations just so they can cheat in womens' olympics]]. What makes the episode Unfortunate is the ([[DeadHorseTrope age-old]]) implication [[DroppedABridgetOnHim that transgendered people are deceptive about their status]]. Not to mention how [[HystericalWoman women are more emotional]] [[MenDontCry than men]]. Or how [[BeAWhoreToGetYourMan every man really DOES want a tramp]].
* TheWoobie: Kif originally, but later he marries the series' most attractive billionaire, grows a spine ([[BizarreAlienBiology no pun intended]]), and manages to finally get some catharsis by [[spoiler:punching Zap in the gut]]. Epic win for woobies everywhere.
