* CompleteMonster: Freddy Krueger is the same sadistic child-murdering monster he is in the films, and more. Following the events of the film, Freddy continues his spree of evil by once again manipulating Jason Voorhees into finding the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis to grant him reality-warping powers before sending the Deadites against Jason when he turns against him. He takes things further in The Nightmare Warriors, where upon his return, Freddy takes control of the Deadite army, placing Jason as general. At Freddy behest, Jason and the Deadites leave death and destruction throughout Washington, where Freddy takes control of the White House where he reveals his plan for "No Child Left Alive" and the carnage he plans on spreading across the world. Revealing himself to be in an incestuous relationship with his daughter Kathryn, possibly due to brainwashing, when she fights with Jason, Freddy admits he plans to kill her when they are finished. Freddy possesses Stephanie to seduce and abduct Jacob, before encouraging Stephanie to kill as a Voorhees. Upon Jason's death, Freddy absorbs his soul as well before boasting himself as a "AGodAmI Dream God". Now desiring power and domination in addition to his bloodlust, Freddy takes his evil from the films to a more grandiose level.

** Of the "Nightmare Warriors", Jessica, Steven, Renee, and Neil are all particularly wasted. The former two are unceremoniously killed off in the beginning, Jessica having died off screen, and Steven being killed by Jason. The latter two are both killed Freddy and , only for Neil to randomly show up alive at the end so someone can read from the Necronomicon.

** Despite being two of the title characters, Ash and Jason are severely shafted in favor of Freddy.
*** Jason is made into TheDragon to Freddy for most of the comic, and by time he and Freddy start fighting again, he's largely just left to be Tommy Jarvis' personal enemy.
*** Ash is treated no more importantly than any of the other Nightmare Warriors, and while he's the one to take charge of Alice, Tina, and Stephanie, the role of TheHero falls more on Tommy and Jacob, Ash feeling more like TheLancer to the two of them.

Not quite. Quite a few people actually found this plot point stupid, since it ultimately renders the entire Nightmare series a Shaggy Dog Story, and that even should the characters no longer die, they won't receive any of the character development the movies gave them, and most of them will be left as bad off as when they debuted.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: "Nightmare Warriors" ends with the ResetButton being pushed and Nancy's father being sent into the past where this time he makes sure to sign the arrest warrant properly, which in turn will get Freddy arrested and tried properly. And prevent the events of "Nightmare on Elm Street", it's sequels and in turn the the comic from coming to pass. So this more or less allowed all the characters to live if readers weren't happy with the comic's story.

* FanonDiscontinuity: Most fans don't really care for "Nightmare Warriors" feeling it disrespects both Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th franchises history by needlessly killing off most fan favorites from the movies with little to no reason other then shock value. Turning Maggie evil likewise just felt pointless since it goes against everything of her character from "Freddy's Dead" (Where she never exhibited any behavior of this. If anything she hated her father because he abused her mother along with killing near all her friends), comes right out of the blue with no buildup to it and nothing comes from it as she gets killed off unceremoniously. With many fans claiming it felt more like a mean spirited TakeThat to the movie just because it's the least popular of the franchise. The fact it reduces Ash and the Deadites role in the story likewise doesn't help either, with the Necronomecon just being a PlotCoupon at best to revive Freddy and be used as his own army.

There's also Jason basiclly serving as a henchman role to Freddy for no real reason especially since it's, y'know, suppose to be a versus title. Revealing himself to be in a incestuous relationship withhis daughter Kathryn, possibly due to brainwashing, when she fights with Jason, Freddy admits he plans to kill her when they are finished.

Moving Dark Reprise and Demoted to Extra to main page, as they're not YMMV tropes.

* DarkReprise: "Freddy's Coming For You" returns as only this time the last two stanzas are replaced. Rather than singing about staying awake, the creepy children sing about how Freddy will bring about
* DemotedtoExtra: While he still plays a central role in the plot receives little attention compared to and mostly serves as errand boy

** Freddy again reminds us that he's a total sexual deviant by taking over and attempting to . Really, we shouldn't be suprised by this given that this isn't the first time done this...
