* DudeNotFunny: In-universe. Part of the crossover deal is to show what different standards of BlackComedy both shows have - whereas Family Guy often rely on [[RefugeInAudacity over-the-top violence]] and overly vulgar humor, The Simspons has always been somewhat lighthearted by comparison (doesn't mean they don't have dark humor though, look at the Treehouse of Horror series). The Simpsons family react accordingly to their respective counterparts because of this. Bart is weirded out when Stewie makes a rape joke phone call to Moe, and kidnaps all of Bart's enemies; Nelson, Jimbo, Principal Skinner, Sideshow Bob and Apu. Lisa is creeped out by Meg risting in her name on her arm so she'll always remember her (although, when you know [[ButtMonkey Me]][[TheWoobie g]], it's kind of justifiable.)

** Peter's TheReasonYouSuckSpeech. Yes fans have gone on record mentioning the Simpsons's SeasonalRot in their complaints but that largely due to being a LongRunner and opinions vary when it happened. But the ''last'' person they want to hear it from is Peter whose fans have been complaining of his show going downhill since it came back from cancellation. That was the ''fourth'' season.
** Does it even need to be said with Lisa trying to comfort Meg into feeling important, only for Peter to insult her '''again'''.

* HilariousInHindsight: Matt Groening had objected when Fox requested a crossover with ''WesternAnimation/TheCritic'', feeling it was nothing more then a ratings stunt that he even took his own name off the episode. Now we have this special which is ironically an hour longer which, even more ironically, Matt had no problem with.
