** Lillian's songs in Episode 16 and 17 of the anime are sung in perfectly pronounced and grammatically correct English, but the lyrics themselves are nothing more than one literary cliche after another, resulting in them being cheesy even by musical standards.
** An InUniverse example in chapter 56. After finding the Tungsten in the cave, Chrome states in joy that the real treasure he, Senku, and Magma found was the bond they formed together in their exploration. Senku and Magma replied with annoyance for him to stop, and Chrome quickly admits he regretted saying that.

** When Charlotte is bitten by a venomous spider, it's made clear that it will be lethal unless it is treated promptly. Unfortunately the drama is undercut by the art giving her a BoobsAndButtPose with a facial expression that makes her seem as if the bite caused her to climax.

* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: In the beginning, while they still had some fans, Taiju and Yuzuriha were thought to be pretty lackluster compared to Senku. However, the characterization they got in their last moments of the first arc endeared quite a few people to them, to the point where Taiju remained in the top 10 (with Yuzuriha following in 11th) in the first poll despite not appearing for a year out of universe. Further characterization following their brief appearances before their major return cemented their places as admired characters.
* ShipsThatPassInTheNight: Despite barely interacting despite having many opportunities to, Ryusui and Tsukasa have become a beloved ship due to the idea that OppositesAttract, given their differing personalities and especially differing ideals.

* AuthorsSavingThrow:
** The shift of focus to Senku and the introduction of Kohaku and Chrome as his new partners a dozen chapters in was speculated to be this as the main complaint about the early chapters was the lackluster romance between Taiju and Yuzuriha and how cliché these two characters were. The latter two were PutOnABus for a while and Senku is given new companions in Kohaku and Chrome, which many consider vastly improved the series as a result.
** While many readers had pointed it out already, Senku stating in-universe that the amount of distance between Ishigami Village and [[spoiler:his father genetically]] would mean that they aren't [[spoiler: blood-related even with him being adopted]] omit any undertones of incest.
** Many characters had their appearance changed during the Treasure Island arc when [[spoiler:they were petrified again and then revived, which healed their petrification scars]]. Many readers found this disappointing since it made the character designs less interesting. Chapter 141 corrects this by having Gen [[spoiler:give everyone face paint so they can recreate their scars as a symbol of their fight against the petrification threat]].

This ignores the fact that we do get a few glimpses of petrification from Senku's perspective while he's counting, and he doesn't seem insane at all. Technology isn't a catch-all. There's all different types. Weapons technology certainly has enabled death on a greater scale, but medical and cleaning technology. Transportation. Communications. He argues that restoring the world's technology will cause far more death and destruction than primitive technology could. It's unlikely it's a common opinion, since the basis ("disadvantageous position", "Dirty Coward", "hardly in any real danger") is factually incorrect. Discussed here.

** One of the major problems fans had with the Treasure Island arc was a lack of dramatic tension, which they mainly pointed at Senku's arrogance and MacGyvering talent growing to new heights, making it nearly impossible to take Ibara seriously as a credible threat to the heroes. However, in the beloved Stone Wars arc, Senku was just as arrogant and unbelievably talented in science--the difference was, as he was leading a primitive village against Tsukasa's massive army of the Earth's strongest warriors, it felt like he had to use every bit of his talent just to survive, which made his pride truly justified. In the Treasure Island arc, far from being at the disadvantageous position he was previously, Senku is instead leading the Earth's strongest heroes against a DirtyCoward, whose forces they outnumber, making it really hard to believe he and his friends are in any real danger.

They do contain psychoactive chemicals, but these can easily be removed during preparation. This is brought up again and corrected during Senku's conversation with [[spoiler:Tsukasa as he gets ready to freeze him]], where he doesn't describe it as a deadly poison, instead pointing out that it can cause hallucinations if eaten in large quantities.

** The crew travels to what would be Araxá on the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais to look for mineral resources, only to later need to gather iron ore elsewhere from the remains of the Perseus and from Isla Martin Garcia on Argentina. The [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Quadrangle Iron Quadrangle]] metallogenetic province right there on Minas was completely ignored by the story.

* ItsShortSoItSucks: The journey around the world [[spoiler: after an aged up Suika succeeded in unpetrifying everyone]] moves at such a breakneck pace that very little time is spent at any of the locations that Senku and company travelled to in order to gather people and resources for their goal to reach the moon. The result is leaving many readers feeling that more time could have been spent at the locations they traveled to rather then feeling like you were given a cliff-note version of everything that Senku and company accomplished throughout the journey.
