A third option also is that Daniel purposely made his character literally TooDumbToLive in order to easily get rid of him, given both that he immediately recognises a very specific rule on death (going over your maximum HP in the negative resulting in instant death) indicating he's not actually that unfamiliar with how D&D works, as well as the fact he's deliberately under-leveled next to everyone and was confirmed on ''Four Sided Dive'' that he was only intended to guest for a portion of the game, and figured a comically anticlimatic death via stupidity was the funniest way to do it.
