Added DiffLines:

* FanficFuel: Arthur actively encouraged the comics' fans to draw fan art and write fan fics, and left plenty of room for them to work around. Where other crazy situations has her appetite gotten her into? Does Jane have feelings for her? What happened to her friend Christine? What went on during the cruise?

Added DiffLines:

* WhatAnIdiot: Possibly Jane, for entrusting Lalia, whose defining character trait is her love of eating, with delivering her pies to Thanksgiving dinner. Lalia brings this up in ''A Very Lalia Thanksgiving.'' Only ''possibly'' because her appetite was far more restrained until this point.

Added DiffLines:

* AuthorsSavingThrow: The new instalments address Lalia's very sudden fall into remorseless gluttony, going into detail about how wonderful and liberating it felt. ''A Very Lalia Thanksgiving'' shows her side of the events, and how she did initially try to resist her cravings.
** She also shows some regret for eating Jane's pies.

Added DiffLines:

** Chad, a frat boy who chats up Lalia at a party and ''really'' doesn't seem to understand just how much she eats.

* BaseBreaker: Lalia herself. Was she a charming and gorgeous protagonist, or a ruthlessly selfish person and a horrible friend?

* HateDumb: Many readers would plague the creator with questions of why Lalia only gained weight in her stomach, somehow apparently completely unaware of the BalloonBelly trope. Such is the case with this reviewer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLejxKkOzlI
** This is particularly strange, since he admitted to reading this very wiki.

* TearJerker: Very likely unintentional, but over the course of the series, Lalia goes from a smart girl with a domineering appetite, to a food obsessed party girl who couldn't care less about her studies.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Any and all characters aside from Lalia and Jane. And even Jane didn't appear in the four produced pages of ''The Lap of Luxury.''
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The original run set up a lot of potential that was brushed away when it was restarted.

Added DiffLines:

* OneSceneWonder: Jane's mother, who only appears briefly in the ''Thanksgiving Special,'' but quickly comes to appreciate Lalia's hardy appetite. She's responsible for Lalia's biggest belly in the series.
** Lalia's mother only appeared during a single strip, but appears to be the entire reason Lalia became so gluttonous at all.
* ShortLivedBigImpact: While the series was around for a while, there are less than fifty strips in total. And yet, Lalia inspired hoards of fan art, and the comic is well remembered by fans to this day.
** The series' popularity peaked after it was revived on deviantArt, which was overall even shorter.

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: More than a few fans have taken to the idea that Jane was [[LesYay secretly in love with Lalia,]] hence why she (more or less) put up with her antics.

* DesignatedVillain: Kim is treated as an antagonist because of her attitude, but the worst thing she does is criticize Lalia's carrot cake design.

* DesignatedVillain: Kim is treated as an antagonist because of her attitude, but the worst thing she does is criticize Lalia's carrot cake design. For the brief time where she is genuinely furious at Lalia, she has a good reason (see above).
