* NauseaFuel: The [[StreetFighter Vega]]-expy murderer left diamonds with his victims' neatly sliced corpses; it's later revealed he can spit gems... I mean, that ''was'' spit, wasn't it?

* DarknessInducedAudienceApathy: It can be very hard to care about the plot when practically every other character is a sociopathic JerkAss who's answer to everything is murder. Sakura doesn't help much since she's super sanctimonious and idiotic at times.

* TrueNeutral: [[spoiler: Sakura's parents stayed out of EDEN's business to ensure that Sakura grew up normally and to preserve peace between power-users and Rare Kinds. It seems that the President's school is filled with such students, not just the moles from EDEN and Re-Code.]]

* RetCon: What did you say? Sakura and her father are supposed to be the LastOfHisKind? The power users will die if they overuse their ability? Sakura [[ActionGirl can hold her own in a fight against power uses]]? Not anymore.

* VillainHasAPoint: Well, more like "really dark antihero has a point" but when Rei says that monsters like the sadistic gangsters he just wasted are not the type to up and change their spots, and that killing them prevented them from creating any more victims, he's pretty much on the ball. It's telling that the only response Sakura can come up with in regards to the latter point is an outraged "How dare you!"
** The point that sakura was trying to make is that using murder as the first and only response to everything makes you just as bad as the people you kill. A more valid argument happens later on in the manga when a villain releases a group of serial killers into the city and people are given the option to vote for the deaths. It's obvious that the police can't do anything in this situation and the criminals are beyond redemption. Sakura still harps about how is wrong to kill them, which the villains cal her out on.

She's rich, intelligent, described to be beautiful, loved by everyone at school, has a lot of people confessing to her left, right and centre and manages to steal the show, despite when it doesn't necessarily have to. She practically veers into {{Black Hole Sue}} territory.

* DesignatedEvil: Rei's actions at the end of Episode 1. While it certainly wasn't pretty, the facts are: 1.These utter monsters murdered an old man, beat the shit out of Sakura, beat her dog to the point of death for trying to protect her, ''and'' to top it all off, were pretty clearly about to rape and kill her. 2.It was specifically stated that the law couldn't touch them, to the point where Sakura's threat to call the cops was met with derisive laughter. 3.Rei gave them option to turn themselves in, and they responded by trying to kill him, too. Brutal as it was, Sakura treats him way, way worse than he deserves. Granted, him finishing off the dog, who, unbeknownst to her was beyond saving probably didn't help, but still...
