* MisBlamed: He and Lance Storm weren't really popular with Wrestling/TheRockNRollExpress after performing their finishing move in Smokey Mountain Wrestling. Lance Storm actually told Jericho it was a bad idea but Wrestling/JimCornette gave them the okay.

** One commentator suggested that most veterans really hate most wrestlers who, like Chris, came up during the Wrestling/MondayNightWars and the Wrestling/AttitudeEra, but mostly keep quiet about it because the others are either too powerful (e.g. Wrestling/TripleH and Wrestling/ShawnMichaels) or are members of [[WrestlingFamily respected dynasties]] (e.g. Wrestling/RandyOrton and Wrestling/DwayneJohnson), and single out Chris as a safe target.

* JerkassDissonance: In his 2012 return to the WWE. By that point the nostalgia had set in, and Chris couldn't get the heat to last until he started to insult Punk's family and cross the MEH. Then when his feud with Punk ended it went back into nostalgia territory, so when Chris returned again in 2013, he wisely did so as a face.

* JerkassDissonance: Chris Jericho's final WCW match was in Peoria, IL in a tag match teaming with Eddie vs. Rey and Kidman. Before the match, Jericho said that if he got pinned he'd leave WCW. After the match, all four wrestlers hugged in the ring. There were fans in near tears, as was Jericho. Kidman started a Jericho chant. Jericho said that he was overwhelmed by the response, but he still thinks that Peoria sucks.

* AwesomeMusic: When Jericho joined the WWE in 1999 he used for his theme [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okmi0mCNJ8g Break the Walls Down.]] Prior to this at WCW he used an instrumental version of Music/PearlJam's Even Flow.

* BaseBreaker: A lot of 70's and 80's veterans really, really hate Jericho's guts. Superstar Billy Graham especially.

** Jericho's plain-vanilla-face early WCW theme, while not Suspiciously Similar Song version of ''anything,'' is now frequently used for sports highlights.

* MoralEventHorizon: Punching Wrestling/ShawnMichaels' wife, former Nitro Girl "Whisper" Rebecca during his 2008 feud with HBK. Not so much the ''act'' (which was actually intended to hit Shawn instead) but the fact that afterwards he showed no remorse and actually seemed ''proud'' of it.
** He crossed it again in his feud with Wrestling/CMPunk, where suddenly, out of nowhere, he brings up Punk's father being an [[TheAlcoholic alcoholic]] - then follows that up next week with saying his sister was a drug addict...plus his [[GettingCrapPastTheRadar insinuation]] that Punk's sister slept around in order to get the drugs to feed her addiction. He even calls Punk a HeroicBastard.
** And then came the night after WrestleMania. After CMPunk was forced to defend his title against MarkHenry with an injured back which ended in a countout, Chris Jericho went to mock Punk, now writhing in pain. What does Jericho do to a defenseless, straight edge champion? Pour a bottle of '''Jack Daniels''' over his head and smash '''''another''''' bottle over his head while propclaiming that he will turn Punk into a drunk.
** And in the week after, he's back again, and this time he's pouring cans of beer.
