** In the first installment of the Second Edition, Deviant Boy lives up to his name by [[spoiler:presenting fifty naked halflings chained to walls and twenty-five ribbed staves with permanent Grease spells cast upon them as the "treasure" of his "dungeon"]]. Everyone except El Disgusto is appropriately horrified, and [=Ab3=] calls Deviant Boy out for being puerile.
* WhatDoYouMeanItWasntMadeOnDrugs: Most of the campaigns, particularly anything created by Blobert Smith.
** Weasley ended up actually getting drunk while running a campaign and [[spoiler:turned it into a Franchise/StarTrek crossover.]]
** The final entry, "Once More With Filking", [[spoiler:claims that Collateral Darren spiked [=Ab3=]'s drink with LSD while he was running their final game together, just to see [[MusicalEpisode what would happen]].]]
* TheWoobie:
** El Disgusto's dog, Lamont. The poor thing is dying of tuberculosis and is decrepit from old age, but [[LazyBum El Disgusto]] refuses to take care of him and beats him with the Stick of Pain whenever the dog starts begging to be fed, walked, or any other basic necessity, when he doesn't just lock it in a room alone. Lamont eventually [[TheDogBitesBack gets his revenge]] [[spoiler:[[GroinAttack when he bites off the tip of Disgusto's penis.]]]]
** Nolan Void is a good DM who goes above and beyond to craft an intelligent campaign, but the party's derailing of it and general insanity results in him being DrivenToMadness.

* AcceptableTargets: Many of the posts begin with a list of people that this particular post will offend, such as "[=LARP=]ers," "people with birth defects," "bedwetters," "mental health workers," "Star Trek fans," "lovers of Disney cartoons" and "people that hate typos." Most of [=AB3=]'s acquaintances seem to belong to one or more among the AcceptableTargets groups, and are duly mocked by the author for it.

* DesignatedHero: Some of [=Ab3=]'s grievances with Asenath come off this way. He has legitimate gripes with her role as a catalyst for and participant in some of Deviant Boy's shenanigans, but most of his complaints toward her concern her "flipper arm", a physical disfigurement, and her [[SlutShaming relationships with the other members of the party.]] Even after he has his epiphany regarding Annoying Girl's [[BigBeautifulWoman physical appearance]] during an [[ItMakesSenseInContext acid-induced musical sequence,]] he accuses the others of being hypocrites for [[{{Hypocrite}} lusting after a girl with a flipper arm.]]

* UncannyValley: Asenath; [=Ab3=] says she was very pretty despite the disabled "flipper arm", but he was creeped out by the fact that she never seemed to blink.

** El Disgusto's dog, Lamont. ** El Disgusto may be the annoying {{Munchkin}} of the group and arguably the worst human being of the group as a person but it's hard to argue against his dumbass ninja antics providing some of the funnier parts of the stories. It helps that he usually ends up [[LaserGuidedKarma facing the consequences of his actions]] both in the game and in real life.

** Psycho Dave is an utterly despicable racist who's dangerously insane and the only member of the group who can be argued to be genuinely evil rather than "just" an irredeemably cruel asshole, but he can be surprisingly hilarious through his insanity, KillerGameMaster tendencies, and his massive ego. And like Disgusto, he generally faces the consequences for his actions, usually whenever he starts getting too loathsome, and it's really satisfying when he's left to go off on a path of self-destruction.

** Psycho Dave is an utterly despicable racist who's dangerously insane and the only member of the group who can be argued to be genuinely evil, but he can be surprisingly hilarious through his insanity, KillerGameMaster tendencies, and his massive ego. And like Disgusto, he generally faces the consequences for his actions, usually whenever he starts getting too loathsome, and it's really satisfying when he's left to go off on a path of self-destruction.

However, his ramblings, massive ego, insanity, and KillerGameMaster tendencies can be really funny, if in a CrossesTheLineTwice sort of way, and like Disgusto, [[LaserGuiedKarma he generally faces consequences for his actions.]]
