** If you didn't like the way Thor ended up becoming a depressed, fat, alcoholic shut-in in the time skip between ''Infinity War'' and ''Endgame'', seeing him go into a ConvenientComa thanks to inheriting the Odinforce after a particularly intense battle and reawakening a year later is a much more awe-inspiring scene.
** On top of that, [[spoiler:Tony and Natasha survive the final battle and Wanda is given actual support, both with her magic and her mental state, after everything she went through]].

* NightmareFuel: In ''Scarlet Witch and the Thirteen Dwarves'', [[spoiler:Ultron has used his new magical training and existing scientific expertise to create twisted amalgamations to aid in the Battle of Five Armies, with WordOfGod thus amending the fight to the Battle of Six Armies as Ultron’s creatures count as a separate force all on their own]].

* HilariousInHindsight: Strange and Wanda's alliance in ''The Witch, the Wizard and the Sorcerer'' may essentially foreshadow their alliance in the film ''Film/DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness''. Additionally, Wanda being treated as an honorary member of the Istari (Wizards) is this after ''Series/WandaVision'' reveals that [[spoiler:she actually is a witch after all]].
** The above actually became HarsherInHindsight once ''Multiverse'' was released and [[spoiler:Wanda and Strange were actually enemies, Wanda having been driven insane by the loss of Vision and her children and the corruption of the Darkhold]].

Requires Word Of God confirmation

* AuthorsSavingThrow: Basically comes up in ''Dagor Arnediad'', as the author reimagines Etri and the dwarves of Nidavellir as being the same size as Gimli and the dwarves of Middle-Earth, justifying how Thor initially assumed that Gimli came from Nidavellir when they met in ''Avengers of the Ring'' before the [=MCU=] dwarves were introduced.
** In ''Film/ThorTheDarkWorld'', Loki overshadowed BigBad Malekith by getting more screen time than him, making Malekith a forgettable GenericDoomsdayVillain by contrast. Additionally, a prospective subplot exploring the LoveTriangle between Sif, Jane and Thor never came to pass. In ''Return Of The Avengers'', since Loki's pretending to be dead/ruling Asgard disguised as Odin, he doesn't appear at any point until TheStinger, and Malekith gets to shine as a villain in his own right. Also, Sif gets a larger role, and her CharacterDevelopment includes her finally moving past her unrequited love for Thor.
** In ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar'', a criticism raised was that Pietro Maximoff had become a ForgottenFallenFriend by the time of this film, never alluded to except by Clint to Wanda, and even then, not by name. In ''Scarlet Witch and the Thirteen Dwarves'', a lot of Wanda's CharacterDevelopment involves coming to terms with her brother's death, and avenging him by killing Ultron properly.
** On the subject of [[ForgottenFallenFriend Forgotten Fallen Friends]], in ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', Tony seems more aggrieved by Peter Parker's death than the Vision's, who you'd think he'd be closer to because he and Bruce created Vision together. In ''Metheilien'', Tony makes it clear that he's mourning Vision as much as Peter.
